when has kerr ever beaten a guy whos faster than 3:26,73 a 1500 or equivalent? never. kerr is incredibly stupid and has a massive ego.
Don't know and sounds like a dumb thing to say, BUT he is arguably the most effective performer at these last several championships as he's managed to perfectly time his fitness and PBs when it most counts.
Jakob says even more arrogant stuff and people here eat that up. Both athletes are similar.
People like Jakob because he 1) races a lot 2) has set world bests and ascended to high spots on all-time lists in marquise events 3) has accumulated 5 global medals in three years with no worse than silver (narrowly, in both cases, after doing 90% of the work). People like Jakob because even though he talks the talk, he also walks the walk.
People dislike Kerr because he rarely races, and his one global medal came in a race where the runner-up did all the work, and now he acts like he's the big dog.
The reality is that no distance runner in general and in the 1500m specifically is more accomplished and has given more to the sport than Jakob in the past 3 years, and that is reflected in how the fan base treats Jakob and Kerr respectively.
There is no question Jakob is the bigger star and talent, but he's not king of the 1500. And if Kerr gets gold in Paris he secures his title of 1500 boss. Two times won't be a fluke and even a WR from Jakob later won't elevate him above Kerr. He will need to beat Kerr in Paris.

Kerr has bronze and gold. Ingebrigtsen has gold and two silver medals.
He is also undefeated in the European championship where Kerr - a brit - hasn’t showed up.

Where is the proof of this? His 1500m PB is from 3 years ago.
He wins Worlds once and now is declared this expert at timing his fitness? I just don't see where he's actually shown this to be true.
Didn't you read Robert's pro-KERR piece last week?????
He said KERR is the master of peaking from 2019 to 2024, always running either a season's best, or PB at every major championships, otherwise also won them from 2023 onwards!!!!
Please stop your petulance right now!!!!!!!
My man Josh KERR is winning it all in Paris!!!!!!!!! Do or die you feeling me sir???????

I suppose you have Troll in your handle but come on man. G-S-S > B-N-G . It is easier to show an apparent peak if you don’t run fast races close to championships and stay away from the fastest ones after.

Gosh Noah, I really don't understand what's your issue with my man Josh KERR of GB!!!!!
Trollminator is not a trolling or anything like that, he is just an honest KERR supporter who is quite sure he will beat Jakob to the gold in a few days time!!!
What do you mean it's easier to show an apparent peak if you don't race often enough????
What kind of prejudice is that towards my guy Josh KERR of GB??????
Major championships are the races athletes gear up towards and put all their eggs into one basket so what do you mean by 'apparent peak' if these are the real races where the peaks are ABSOLUTE AND ABSOLUTELY DESIRED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You feeling me Noah????
Are you saying my guy Josh KERR of GB is suffering from a psychiatric delusional disorder for thinking major championships are races in which he needs to absolutely peak for and diamond league races peak less????????
Gosh, wake up you all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Absurd af!!!!!!!!! Now let's all get on to Josh KERR on the top step of the podium on August 6th thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Really want Cheriyut and Jakob to make the final 3:27 race and make it survival of the fittest race.
However the race is run, beg, steal, borrow, rain or shine, my man Josh KERR of GB WILL NOT let anybody out of his sight in the last 400m!!!!!!!!!!!
Mark my words!!!! I know how darn well-prepared, well-rested, and recharged Josh KERR is for the 1500m that starts tomorrow. Jonathan knows as well too when he confirms Danny Mackey, a legitimate 1500m expert coach, has Josh KERR running the 1500m in 3:26 right now just like Jakob!!!!!!!!!
You folks can dream on the belief that a 3:27 race drops KERR and makes him a non-factor in the last 400m!!!!!!
when has kerr ever beaten a guy whos faster than 3:26,73 a 1500 or equivalent? never. kerr is incredibly stupid and has a massive ego.
Reading comprehension. He meant he has beaten people that were faster on paper before. Like last year when he beat a 3:27.14 guy. Or Pre when he beat a 3:43 guy.

This should be obvious, but every year, one of your times has to be your best in that year. So if you race the 1500m four times (as I believe Kerr did in 2023), you have a 25% chance of each race being your peak. Factor in the slightest bit of trying to peak at a certain time, and you'll likely to set your PB during that race.
But we don't actually know if Kerr was peaked right then. He might have peaked two weeks prior, or even 6 weeks, but he wasn't racing so there aren't any times to compare it to.
The more races you run, the more transparent your progression is. And so you can actually theorize when someone "peaked" rather than just assuming.
I don't deny that, my guy Josh KERR of GB is on equal terms in ability with Jakob, same for strength, endurance and so on, but when it comes to POWER, I'm sorry man, my guy KERR smashes Jakob to the ground like a WWE smackdown you feeling me sir?????
So while Jakob might be able to execute such speed endurance workouts slightly better than my guy Josh but Josh is a power pack rugby player and can handle acceleration and/or G-force inside an F-16 moving in a vertical circle much better and not have his blood made as viscous as Jakob's, you feeling me????? And that just means he sprints faster and better than Jakob and beats him to the gold, period!!!!!
Jakob's blood profile is not advantageous to sprinting so that's why you see he sprints terribly with bad sprinting technique and inability to spread his legs out wide, and that's because Jakob's blood turn more viscous than Josh's when accelerating!!!!
Acceleration in space and time changes blood viscosity and induces apparent resistance and loading on the brain and body!!!!!

HUH?????????????
Gosh, what on earth are you talking about?????
Why are you looking at it from a statistical or probabilistic point of view when you should be looking at it from a realistic point of view instead????
Your statistical or probabilistic method aims to spread the eggs across different baskets and impute equal importance to all races equally whether major championships or mere diamond league races whereas the realistic or realism point of view has it more correctly that all the eggs only go into those baskets which are major championships such as world indoors, world outdoors, olympics and so on and so forth, you feeling me sir????
Therefore, the major championship races aren't of equal percentage significance as all the other races, they have to have at least far higher significance on the calendar and hence Josh KERR justified to have his peak call its port at major championships ONLY!!!!!!!!!!

Wow, you really don't get it, do you?
You're making my point. If you only race four times a year, it's fairly easy to train so that the "major championship" is your fastest race in that year. But we don't know if that was truly when he peaked in fitness. In other words, you get an "apparent peak".
People simply don't appreciate just how different a championship final is to a DL race with lights and pacers. Jakob is the inferior championship racer. If he wasn't, we wouldn't all be so sure he's going to take it out hard. He's the runner who is least comfortable racing off a slow pace and leaving it to a kick. You have to be delusional not to see that. Kerr has a massive advantage in knowing that he's one of the very few who could hang on to Jakob and is likely the only one who could squeeze a bit more juice from his legs to snipe him.

Get real. The only races that matter are WC and the Olympics. WRs are great too, but so far Jakob hasn't broken any in a distance that matters.
If you are going to fabricate something, at least check the all time list. Next up? Asbel Kiprop, only .05 faster.
What, did Josh go beat a washed up Kiprop at a local Kenyan meet where Kiprop ran 4:10 some time in the past year?
Josh has not beaten anyone that has run faster than Jakob. Yes, he has beaten Jakob, but he has not beaten someone that has run faster than Jakob.
Use some common sense before putting together a dumb quote.
No you use some common sense and stop dissing my guy Josh KERR of team GB!!!!!!!
Obviously Josh KERR couldn't beat Asbel, Ramzi, Silas, Manangoi, Taoufik, Manzano, Centrowitz because his career didn't coincide with their duh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They were from different eras and besides, Asbel is a filthy immoral cheat too!!!!!!!
Josh KERR's words, actions, behavior are EXEMPLIFIED from the rest. He is a DISTINCTION among mere mortals and backed with powerful athletic ability well-known for his POWER!!!!!!!! Josh can do work and convert the most amount of energy in joules (J) in the shortest amount of time and that's why he will reach the finish line first!!!!
