hey rojo until you grow up and give Nikki the respect they deserve and at least attempt to get their pronouns right instead of intentionally getting it wrong i’m using she/her pronouns for you. in all seriousness they deserve some respect as a person and not just as a runner but even if it was just on the basis of being a REALLY good runner they deserve a lot of respect. it’s like calling someone the wrong name on person that they’re clearly stated they don’t go by. mistakes are one thing but this feels purposefully hateful and it’s tired. let’s see how rojo feels when we misgender her on her own message boards. new game is every time she uses she/her pronouns for Nikki i’m using she/her pronouns for her too :) see how ridiculous i sound?
I don't know what you are talking about. I don't purposely misgender they. It's just awkward as hell to not do it (see how awkward that previous sentence is and I talk really fast on the podcast). it's just awward as hell to talk/write this way and the longer it goes on the worse I think it's not a good idea for society. I kind of wish we as a sociert NEVER talked about gender. I also think hiltz is a fascinating human being. I love how they at least stand for something even if it's something I think is absurd.
TLDR - I don't misgender her on purpose it's just too complicated to not do it sometimes on the podcast and think they is very interesting so I do respect hiltz as a person.

You cannot make it up folks. Absurd: “extremely silly or ridiculous.” So you love that they stand for something which you perceive to be extremely silly or ridiculous. But why? Why do you love it? I don’t actually believe you.
it would be i don’t purposely misgender them not “i don’t purposely misgender they”. it sounds wrong because your grammar is incorrect here. it’s the same as if you found the wallet of a person who’s gender you didn’t know. you’d say i wonder whose wallet this and how i can get it back to them not how i can get it back to they. although you did just get it right in part of this reply. kinda confused how you can call them she and they in the same sentence but whatever. the effort is what matters it’s much more comfortable to watch people try to get Nikki’s pronouns right and get it wrong than do it wrong on purpose. i also can appreciate that it’s a weird thing grammatically to get used to but it’s not different than talking like you didn’t know the gender of an individual person. it might sound sarcastic but i genuinely appreciate the effort to somewhat get their pronouns right in your reply. it’s more forgivable on the podcast when it’s in the moment than going through the work to type out she when talking about Nikki because thought goes into that. “i love how they at least stand for something even if it’s something i think is absurd” is the right grammar and it’s also very much a good sentiment and i can definitely appreciate that and you using the right pronouns even if it’s awkward and unnatural. at the end of the day, GO NIKKI
actually i’m drinking which makes me too nice and idk that it is a good sentiment but at least you can show respect in a statement meant to show respect by getting their pronouns right for once. going back and forth between the wrong and right pronouns in the same post of emphasis is odd and off putting

The pronouns aren’t necessary. He can refer to that person by their name, and only by their name. Case closed.
then why doesn’t he do that and instead goes out of his way to use she/her pronouns. i would have no problem if i never heard him call them she or them ever again and only Nikki or Hiltz. that would actually be really cool to hear him not misgender them for once and just hear their name instead.

BS. You once started a thread asking if Nikki was a lesbian, feigning it to be about a promotional article you were writing about a pride race Hiltz put on, and in reality after you got absolutely roasted you locked it and made an article about how absurdly slow nonbinary prize money winners are. Stop pretending.
I was at the event. Tuohy looked great, took off with 3 laps to go and pretty much ran solo. the women's 1500 was the race of the night with Whitni Morgan outleaning Karissa Schweizer.
Duncan Hamilton fell off a cliff with one lap to go in the steeplechase. Same with Eric Holt, he was in the mix until the last lap where he forgot how to run.
a coach next to me said that races after the US Trials are always weird - either Olympians not trying to get hurt so no overexertion or runners who missed out on the Olympics and knowing their next shot is 4 long years away have a hard time getting up for these races.
oh, and I've said it before and I'll say it again, Courtney Wayment has a great butt.
