It’s a decathlete. But what makes you think Fred is getting blown out in the 800?? the 16 year old hs kid could win the 100m - 800m and probably long jump as well.
Just about any top male 5K/10K runner could win every women's distance event even with all the rounds. 800, 1500, steeple, 5K, 10K and marathon, so 6 golds.

0% chance kerley could break 2. that would be incredibly impressive if he could right now
WHAT? Kerley could run what then? Surely he would have a chance run 60 and 59.9 for a 1:59.9? Come on now.
Maybe another medal if you count race walking. Women do 20k. I'm pretty sure in whatever video they've basically been running anyways. Either Jakob or Eaton/Warner could probably sneak a medal if they wanted to.

Not necessarily, because often the best decathlete would be weaker than top women in some events. I said Warholm because he was a strong decathlete but would also have a guaranteed win at 100, 200, and 100/400 hurdles (possibly 400 as well depending on the athlete), which wouldn’t necessarily be the case for the best decathlete. Kevin Mayer for example is a 10.5/48.3 guy and would have a great shot at his best at the 100 and 400, but they’re not a given. Not a favorite to beat Sydney in 400h either, whereas those women’s WRs are a walk in the park for Warholm. I don’t know much about his throws but I could see him taking easily 8 and likely 10+ events. As someone else mentioned, Grant Holloway as well.

This. At best Jacob gets 7 - 8 golds: 4 would be pretty much gauranteed - 800, 1500, 5k, 10k, and 2 would be very likely - marathon (if he doesn't get too tired from running everything else), and 3k steeple (if he can not fall down over hurdles), and maybe two more are a stretch - 400 (think he could go sub 50 based on his kicks - he's closed in 23 sec 200 for a 1500m/5k, definitely needs Sydney not to run, which she isn't, and he would struggle with the blocks).
Now lets look at the top ranked decathlete, Pierce Lepage's PBs
100 Metres - 10.28 200 Metres - 20.83 400 Metres - 46.84 1500 Metres - 4:31.85 110 Metres Hurdles - 13.77 High Jump - 2.09 (womens season best is 2.10) Pole Vault - 5.25 (womens season best is 4.92) Long Jump - 7.80 (womens season best is 7.22) Triple Jump - 14.14 (womens season best is 15.01) Shot Put - 15.99 (womens season best is 20.68, but dif weight) Discus Throw - 53.26 (womens season best is 73.09, but dif weight) Javelin Throw - 63.09 (womens season best is 66.7, but dif weight)
So it looks like he would be lock at gold in 7 events (100, 200, 400, 100h, long jump, and pole vault, heptathlon) and would have an excellent chance in the high jump, 400h, and javeline (given the different weight/length), but he quite far from the top discus and shot putters such that I doubt the different weight would allow him to get into the gold contention. He also has a good chance at the 800m with a 46.84 400m PB, and a 4:31 PB in the 1500m at the end of the decathlon. Canada also has reasonable 4x100 and 4x400 teams so having a 46 low split or his rediculous 100m split could get them close to a gold. Oh and lets not forget the heptathlon
I'd put the expected number of golds at ~10, which is way more than Jakob could do.
This whole thread is an abusive attack on all women runners. Males are not females, do not qualify to run in women's events, and therefore can't "win" any women's events.

Would the difference in space between the hurdles cause him to loose the 100h? I might give him a better chance in 400h and tj.
Fred kerley could easily triple in the 100 200 and 400, but gets blown out by keely in the 800
Jakob could crush the 800 1500 and 5k but probably loses to chebet in the 10k. Same thing with 400m if he went down.
A rudisha type wins 800 400 and has a chance at 200 and 100 but probably gets beat by ETH or shacarrie.
Could any male win 4 or 5 golds as a female in an olympics? Who has best shot?
Thoughts?

I don't think he'd be blown out, but remember when Jeremy Wariner tried the 800m.
Watch more pro races here: https://bit.ly/2QBIFOVFormer Olympian, Baylor sprinter and 400m star Jeremy Wariner test his legs running his first career 800m ba...
He had a way better build for the event and was an all-time great at 400m with a 43.45 PB. Kerley was a sub 44 second 400m runner as well with a world championship bronze in the event, but at the moment he's worse at the 200m than the 100m and hes clearly put on more muscle which would hurt him in the 800m. I think he goes sub 2:00 in the 800m, but would struggle to beat the 1:54 - 1:55 women.
This answer has been underrated. Dude is seriously fast and could possibly pull off the 100,200, and, yes, pole vault. 400 is a total unknown as is the high jump.
Phelps won 8 golds in one Olympics. I'd think most any male swimmer that does the events he did could easily take 8 women's golds in the 8 events Phelps got his golds.

Steeple just very likely? he has run 8:26 at age 16 with much higher barriers. The womwn's WR is 8:44 but nobody is in that kind of form currently. It would be like a walk in the park for him.
Obviously this is letsrun and we think about running, but let's talk about swimming.
I'm guessing a top 400 IM male could dominate everything under 400m and possible the 800 and 1500m freestyle as well. At that point it all comes down to scheduling

Jakob closing in a 23 is some new fantasy I've never heard of. Next week the Jakob freaks will be saying he's closed in a 22. Then 21. And finally, "Jakob could probably give Noah Lyles a run for his money if he practiced blocks for a week."

This sounds about right. Quincy Wilson is a 1:51 performer but he's light and lean and in great 400m shape. I remember Aldrich Bailey ran an 800 in highschool and jogged a casual 1:54. I knew a 46 guy who ran sub 1:50 off of a few weeks of dedicated 800 training.
In great 400 shape, Fred should be anywhere from like 1:50–1:55. In his 100/200 shape, he's probably in 1:55–2:00 shape.
