So Wolfe is #46 but that moves to #45 as Blanks is one of the 3 guys ahead of him. So if 3 guys don't enter, he's in.
Wildschut apparently is 1.
Some are saying Geordie Beamish. But if I'm Beamish, I'd also enter the 5000 as insurance against the steeple. If Beamish falls or somehow doesn't make the steeple final, wouldn't he want to be in the 5000 (the 5000 1st round is run the morning of the steeple final)?
Mechaal 1500/5000 is another guy but again, why wouldn't he just also enter the 5000 - which he ran at Euros - even if he's focused on the 1500 just to see if he wants to do it. depending on how the 1500 goes
The only other thing I could thing of is if the Brits for some reason don't enter 3 even though they have 4 or even 5 that could go.
Patrick Devers is in as he has the standard and was 2nd at their Trials.
Sam Atkin has the standard but didn't race the British Trials but was given a medical exemption to skip due to gastroenteritis. George Mills has the standard but raced the 1500 but wants to double. Rowe has the standard and was 3rd at the Trials.
Plus James West won the Trials (he also won last year). He doesn't have the standard but is right ahead of Wolfe in the rankings. I think the Brits will send 3.
The more I look into this I think Blanks will end up going over Wolfe.
