Btw are you talking about the 3000 she ran the night after she inexplicablely ran to break the 5000 record? That seemed normal to you? Well then.

You misunderstand me. I’m not interested in arguing who is or isn’t doping. Just not my thing.
My first question is how do you claim to evaluate the presence or absence of “natural fatigue”?
My second question is what do you believe its alleged absence indicates—are these allegedly doping athletes incapable of running hard enough to become naturally fatigued or are they sandbagging so as to cover the fact that they could have run faster but they don’t want their doping to be that obvious?
How much time did she have to take off? Is her hamstring better now?

She will not be racing the trials. She is nowhere near ready right now.
Tuffy, nice to see you posting. Are you 100% on that? Touhy is at least healthy and doing workouts. I wouldn't be surprised if she opened up at the trials for the experience. Doesn't have to be about her being competitive. I know personally, I wouldn't turn down the opportunity if given and if I was her sponser, I'd want her to show up no matter the shape.
When steroids first emerged, they were described as a drug that eliminated fatigue. Epo does it even better. If an endurance athlete exhibits unusual powers of recovery and never seems to seriously tire, it becomes noticeable. You can observe it compared to athletes are natural. Think the cycling peleton in the early 90s where the natural athletes were left in the dust.
Have athletes sandbagged? Armstrong claims he did.
Already washed at 22.

Really? Where and by whom? Steroids have always been associated with increasing physical strength and muscle mass. When Marty Vainio tested positive for steroids after the 1984 LA 10,000m we distance runners were scratching our heads. Why would a runner take steroids?! We eventually learned in the fallout after his positive test that they apparently helped to decrease the amount of recovery required between intense workouts. He could do hard workouts more frequently. But this was always viewed as a novel application and no one believed steroids were the drug of choice among runners. EPO is a completely different substance with manifestly different effects and benefits to an endurance athlete.
Your misrepresentation of historical fact makes me doubt everything you say. And your claimed ability to detect fatigue or its absence in a runner and your ability to ascribe that presence or absence to potential performance enhancing substances is utter nonsense.

My response got removed. LOLL. This board never fails. Anyway look up the documentaries about how steroids first emerged. You are uninformed. Otherwise, not worth responding.
even if she was healthy I always thought the '28 Olympics were a more reasonable goal.
same with Colin Sahlman. rooting for him but he needs more experience against pro style racing.
D2 RMAC coaching update that's decently big. Jon Poag has been elevated to be the AD at Colorado Christian, so now Evan Verbal, first big time successful runner of the program that helped turn them into a D2 powerhouse, is coming back to be the head XC/track coach after being the head coach at Regis (Denver CO). So the Regis job is open, and one of the best D2 and RMAC schools has a new head coach.
Houlihan didn't suddenly go from 4:09 to 3:55. She had a 4:09 best in 2015 not getting into a lot of fast 1500s. Then she focused on the 5000 in 2016 and 2017. When she went back to being a 1500m runner in 2018 and getting in the big races, it's not surprising she popped off with a few sub 4s. She did test positive, but I don't think her progression was more than a second or two abnormal.
Linden Hall was also a 4:10 collegian in 2015 who improved to 4:01 in 2016. She's a 3:56 pro who had a major breakthrough at 32 by going under 3:58 3 times. Is she on drugs?
Pointing at college athletes to pro athletes progression is a flawed premise with the different race fields and styles of racing. Add in a lifestyle change that enables the prioritization of training and recovery and it isn't surprising to see athletes take a step forward. It also isn't surprising to see Tuohy injured right now. Like many other athletes she probably tried to do too much. It's an easy trap to fall into.
She's was already in the testing pool in college most likely.
She wasn't.
Saying Houlihan did test positive but her progression was not abnormal is an interesting way to think about it I guess.

I take your comment as that you are either not smart enough to be aware of facts or you dont like the facts and ypu think she is doping. I will go with the latter knowing you.
Clearly the 4 facts are indisputable.
uohy was far ahead of her peers at an early age. Everyone is aware of this.
She has a square jaw and large muscles. She certainly isnt the thinnest distance runner on the track.
She is associated with a shady character. No denying this.
She disappeared after entering the testing pool. She hasn't raced since college.
No offense meant but to state it bluntly, this is completely idiotic. I assume your intent is to troll because these ‘facts’ are disputable.
- She was ahead of her peers at the time, like any top runner is. Most of her records have since been broken or challenged. To correlate this with doping is ridiculous.
- Compared to whom? This is opinion, not fact. Her build is muscular in photos but slim in person.
- This is once again, an opinion. Not a fact.
- Silly comment. I don’t even know where to begin.
This is inflammatory in order to draw attention which, I did bite. So perhaps you were effective in that regard.
But other than not racing since November, your points are not rooted in fact, they are very much opinions.
Wonder how Adidas is feeling about the deal they gave her now. I'm still curious why they signed her given her clear slow-down as her college career progressed.
Facts are facts even if you don't like them.
