Good one! -I’m still laughing, and you weren’t unfair even once! But if you think Narve says and thinks weird things you should meet his coach..!
Joke a side: Narve Nordås is a smart guy, but he has quite a lot he has to figure out, especially when it comes to 5000m racing (and obviously also 800m)… But he is really a dark horse (as he showed in Budapest), and who knows what he can do in a double in Paris..?
Since this post is about Kerr I will say this: Kerr might very well be beaten by a fast improving Nordås in every 1500m this season, and also in a 3000m / 2 mile if they choose the distance…
And since your point in the post was Narve’s weird thinking and sayings I also have to nuance this a little: He also says a lot of smart things! F.ex that Kerr and Wightman are wrong when they think they have an advantage over Jakob (and himself) because of better 800m speed. -Here he stresses that it’s always the strongest that has the fastest home straight in the fast races (1500m), and not the speed guys (Just the same as Jakob says, correctly as far as I can see)! And a lot of his thoughts around training philosophy seem really smart…
Conclusion: Nordås is just like the rest of us - a little of everything (both smart and “unhinged”). He’s just a little more visible and pointed perhaps. And may this season too even still be a better closer in the 1500m than f.ex Kerr… And even come up with superior strength…!
