It's fascinating how incubated cult like groups slowly infiltrate culture and expect you to acquiesce to their cemented "norms and standards" set in place over night.....or else you're a "perpetrator and agent of hate"
lmao okay guys, she set an American record.
This isn't East Germany and we're not playing your juvenile word games.
If you want to compete in the XX Women's division, you don't get your special verbiage.
Citius Mag aren't journalists any way, so don't act surprised.
Exactly, Nikki is competing against their biological sex (which everyone on here desperately wants non-binary people to do). However, I completely support Citius Mag not listing the word "female" or "women's" American record in the post as that is not how Nikki identifies. But the record is the women's American record, and it should be obvious based on the times and who the former record holder was...
The record is not Hiltz's personal record or what she identifies as but for American women. Changing the description of the event - which is for women and includes women - out of deference to how she chooses to describe herself is misplaced. It doesn't respect the women who choose to compete in the event, which is a "women's" event and not a non-binary or any other event.
Nikki seems nice and is a great runner, but it is a bit ridiculous to write e.g. " Fastest American 1000m under a roof ever at @UWTrack" as I saw on a Twitter account (Runnerspace)
If you're tying yourself up in knots about whether Hiltz is a real activist or not, then I'm left wondering why you think a trans athlete is required to be an activist at all.
They just want to run in a race against people with comparable hormone profiles. If you're getting horny about how woke it is to want to participate in the sport of running, you've lost the plot.

No, they don't. They want to race against those with completely different hormone profiles. You know - women.
I noticed this back when Nikki Hiltz ran the women’s mile AR. look at all of their other American record posts, they’ll always add “men’s American record” or “women’s American record” except when Hiltz is involved. They’ll either just say “American record” or what they did on X(formerly known as Twitter)
What a joke! If they/them doesn’t want a women’s American record then they shouldn’t run in the women’s race! but the woke running “fans with phones” won’t call a spade a spade.
You are really reaching.
But you're just about to post the numerous examples of Citius posting about American (and other) Records without referring to Men's or Women's, right?
For instance, the several examples from 2024, already, on the exact platform and account you are quoting from?
I guess not? Just desperate to be angry about it I guess.
Man, I truly feel bad for all of you. How exhausting it must be to sit around and tear apart someone else’s life on the internet because you’re upset over something you can’t understand or that challenges the worldview you’ve felt comfortable in. Give it a break. I legitimately wish you all peace.

The weird part is I dont think she protests running in the women's division. She is not trans, she doesn't have DSD I believe, so it is indeed a women's record. She can certainly identify as they or whatever that's fine. But I would be surprised if she was triggered by saying they set a women's record. That's what she did. Not a non binary record, a women's record. Much more impressive. So it feels like we are woke, not her so to speak.

HER
Probably worth a different thread but the non binary people need to get rid of "they" as soon as possible imo. Im all for them having their own pronoun, I believe people are non binary. But using "they" was a ridiculous decision, making it sound like someone is more than one person, or having a mental health issues. Further, it makes everything confusing, like commentating on races when someone says "they" you assume they are talking about multiple people or a team. It's crazy cumbersome. Im sure they don't have "meetings" on this stuff, but they should have come up with something that wasn't totally confusing. Its one person, non binary, still singular human being (2 genders, one person). I don't like it, I wonder if any non binary folks feel this way.
