No :-) But this increase is very individual, and not every athlete is responding with better running performance despite increased hemoglobin. And even if you are a good responder, you lose some muscular training stimuli caused by the thin air. And you need to take the first training week in altitude quite easy to acclimatize.
Altitude training is heaped up among sub elite athletes because the best athletes have this “advantage”. A misunderstood “advantage” mostly caused by placebo and “best practice”-approach by many nationalities and training groups.
