As interracial mixing becomes more common the white majority will become more accepting of that particular race as we familiarize with their culture and customs. There was a time not too long ago where the Irish and italians were not considered white and were treated just as poorly as blacks and Hispanics. It seems ridiculous now to think someone would say that an Italian isn't a white person but that happened. I think this goes both ways somewhat in that those people also need to be open to intermarrying with white people, which is actually not the case with certain segments of the asian population, certainly they are far less open with intermarrying with other POC.
Growing up in an area that was VERY culturally diverse yet also had many people who were first generation immigrants, this was obvious. We had a large South American, Puerto Rican, and Dominican community. Mere blocks away we had our areas Chinatown which to this day is still somewhat closed off and there's also one of the largest Ultra orthodox communities in the entire US if not the largest. I went to school in a neighborhood that was majority Italian. Prior to my time my neighborhood had a significant Italian presence and they were displaced by Puerto Ricans. Funny enough Puerto Ricans were given a pass amongst Italians but other latinos weren't, they were more familiar with us.
I realize the OPs point in moot, this is old and some of y'all in here have issues etc but I feel what I stated above is a relevant point.
