yes, according to my judgement, there are 2 things. EL G's mile and 1500m WRs have always been few levels better than his 2000m and Daniel Komen's 3000m records which are both very very soft.
secondly, Jakob himself does not have that top end speed needed to run the mile and 1500m WRs. His form was breaking down and no longer fluid in the final 100m of the mile race compared to El G's whose form just remained biblical (beautiful). El G's running technique is the bible for all elite mile runners, the way there is not one wasted motion from head to toe and the way he only makes NECESSARY movement that will pivot himself forwards and not sideways and back. Jakob has too many ancillary motions that slows down the velocity of his center of mass, unfortunately. he just looked downright ugly in the finishing straight. Even Noah Ngeny ran more biblically than Jakob ever did.
While as for Nuguse? This one is worst, he can't run for real as his technique is far worst than El G, Ngeny and Jakob. Never seen such a horrendously moving mile in my life and yet he still runs 3:43:97? Just goes to show you 2 things:
1) El G's 3:43 mile record is soft and he could have run it far faster in around 3:40 and put it out of reach for an eternity.
Agree Jakob has terrible foot speed and turnover despite super shoes, wavelights and doped track surface. Still can't break the mile and 1500m WRs lol. El G on the other hand had such raw speed he didn't need super shoes, wavelights nor doped track surfaces.

You're delusional. 15 degrees cooler and JI is the new WR holder.
Even some of you with limited analytical skills can sort of ascertain what is going on here. But most of you apparently cannot.
Being one of the guys with limited analytical skills -hopefully- I will (nevertheless) try to give a few alternatives for what is going on here (Your comparison of Morceli and Jakob):
1. First the thing you so obviously allude to: Jakob doing drugs.
2. Jakob having better shoes, tracks, pacing lights, maybe training regime / support apparatus.
3. Number 2 + that 1.46.44 pr (three years old) isn’t his real ceiling or current capacity.
I don’t know which of the numbers / alternatives to grab as the correct one, but neither do you… I can believe I find most indication for number 3, and you for number 1. But the only way to know with some certainty is through very frequent testing (that we know can outsmart even quite clever cheating) + investigating. -Both of these took down Lance Armstrong (clear findings in some of the tests, and in some of the investigations)… So what do you think -is Wada’s testing of Jakob, f.ex reasonable / good enough? If not; what do you propose..?

Drugs are masked. There is a better technology that goes into defeating antidoping than antidoping possesses to catch dopers. The experts have long known this. This will not change. Sport and doping have become inextricable and will remain so. Get used to it. It's what you're seeing.
This is why OP will NEVER run under 8 minutes for the mile. They do not have the requisite willpower to get off the couch and exercise. Oh well. Every troll has weaknesses.
He posts a totally absurd troll post and everybody is going bonkers replying to it.
Of course what he is saying about Jakob is totally nonsense and I bet he knows it. But he is sure enjoying pulling everybodies chains. DON'T take nonsense posts like this seriously.
Maybe don't have the Diamond League final in mid-80s weather in mid-afternoon. Have it in the early evening like in all the major DL races outside of the United States and you'd probably have had a world record in the mile today. He said he couldn't even see the pacing lights and so that it was worse than not having them at all. But you also might want to get a pacer who can go more than 900m. All he needed today was an evening start and he'd have had it in all likelihood.
+1
It wasn´t an optimum race yesterday. I was surprised that Jakob even was so close to the WR. And Nuguse too. I don´t think it was a wholehearted attack on the WR as the 2 mile and 2000m races were. It was more to see how fast he could run and it happened to be pretty fast.
But let us sum up the less than optimum factors (yours first):
1. Mid afternoon isn´t the best time of the day. Too close to lunch time. It is better at about 5-6 pm. Then you have got 2 meals in the day and have had enough time to digest.
2. He couldn´t see the pacing lights.
3. Only pacing to about 900m. When El-G ran he had to 1200m.
4. As far as I could see Sowinski was also a bit too slow, especially in the end of his pacing. But Sowinski didn´t get optimum help from Myers who started too fast.
5. Jetlag. He travelled 9 time zones and reportedly arrived on the West Coast some few ago.
6. If Jakob had started in the inner lane as in Silesia he would have saved some meters to run.
7. Another WR attack only 8 days before.
-----------------
I think only biased trolls (like the OP on this thread and "600m man") now will deny that Jakob can get the mile WR too. And probably also the 1500m.
I have in another thread recently argued that Jakob will continue to improve in the 1500m for some more years.
The argument is that he can continue to improve his aerobic capacity for many more years (adding a new layers to his aerobic foundation annually) which means he will improve in the 1500m as long as he is his physical prime or close. At some stage his overall strenght (not understood as endurance) will decline so much that it can´t be offset by increased endurance and then he can´t improve the 1500m anymore (but he can still improve in longer distances where the endurance represents a bigger percentage of the total performance).
So even if he may lack something TO GET IT THISYEAR HE WILL GET IT NEXT YEAR OR THE NEXT YEAR AGAIN. I wrote this in a post about a week ago.
As a matter of fact Jakob said exactly that in his interview after the race yesterday:
"I expect to improve the next year and the next year as I have improved this year".
Even some of you with limited analytical skills can sort of ascertain what is going on here. But most of you apparently cannot.
Slow clap for best troll of the week.
I ran a mile time trial increasing my stride rate from 110 to 130 and dang if i didn't run slower! That's because stride length determines speed. Pro sprinters are faster than elite NCAA sprinters, because they take fewer steps with longer strides; is this true for middle distance runners? McSweyn has crazy fast pitter patter steps and is good, but not GOAT material.
FWIW, here are some champion 800m/mile times.

This is why Jakob will NEVER get a world record from one mile and below. He does not have the requisite turnover. Oh well. Everyone has weaknesses.
He's not a miler. He's so good, he can move out of his event and destroy people.
This is sort of true actually. Jakob is a 3000m to 5000m specialist. He will NOT dominate at 10000m but he is one of the best 3-5K runners we have seen.
El G and Ngeny got pacers for 1200m. I think Jakob knew this fact and was able to base his complaint on this fact. However, I don't think the pacing from 950 to 1200m makes that big a difference? He told the media that the 0.6s margin to the WR is a huge margin. So I gather that it's not something that can be overcome with just 250m more of pacing. He would have a tail wind to assist him anyway.
