Yes, due to thunderstorms.
Dan O'Brien is a terrible international commentator. He only knows American athletes.
Rooks is the future of American steeplechase.
Rooks wins his heat.

Pace for that was showing as 5.3 km/H on BBC - what on earth could that mean other than Km/Hour?!
I guess the rain messed up the sensors. They were running +20 km/h.
El B safely through the second heat.

He looked great. Shoulder to shoulder with the Olympic Champ( although he lost the heat by 3 hundredths of a second).
Final stretch:
Aragorn (Beamish) vs. Omar Little (Girma)
pick your champ

My reference point was the live results online where it showed Rooks first. Either way strong run.

Showing 11th in the third heat online. With a 8:31 Rough
Any news on Updike fall? Did he trip himself? Was he impeded? Any chance of being advanced?

Looks like he got clipped by the German (?) runner. Definitely a non-factor in the heat by the end. Possible he can get through on appeal though. Won’t be a real contender in the final if he does.

He looked really comfortable. Much better technically over the last barrier than Bett too which is promising.
