Probably makes sense because Jakob hasn't been in a fast 5k since 2021, where he "only" ran a measly European Record, beat the WR holder, Olympic champ, all at age 20. And he's never raced a track 10k. You'll notice that he holds the 2 mile WR, so there's no one in history with a faster PR there. He just ran 3:27.14, so even if I accept that Bekele could've run 3:28 today, he's still way behind Jakob.
I said it somewhere else, but I think Bekele still beats anyone except Jakob, and Jakob only has the edge in a championship 5k. A jog with a fast last 800-1k definitely goes to Jakob. A decent pace before a blistering last 3k goes to Jakob (see: 2-mile WR with 3:52 last 1600), and if he could solo a 12:40-45, it still goes to Jakob, because Bekele would just be pacing Jakob.
