Out of competition test 10/11 Post Cross country Nationals Test 11/2 Out of competition test 2/20 Post USATF Road mile 4/25 Out of competition test 5/15 *Plus two passed USADA tests
Being "the most tested college athlete" is not something to be proud of. It means that the drug enforcers are more suspicious of her than of anyone else. Anyone who says her critics are jealous or misguided might want to ask why the pros, the people who know the most are doping, are worried enough to test her this often.
As I say, this is not A Good Sign.
Being tested the most has more to do with being ranked highly nationally and globally. It has little to do with suspicions other than that no one is ever suspicious of slow ass runners doping. Someone actually in the elite running scene in any capacity would know that. Some loser on his computer late at night at the Huntington Community Foundation tearing down the people in the town that he is jealous of would not.
Glad to see athletes like Colleen Quigley and Aisha speaking out about this. It's such a sickening story and now that Addy is competing for pro teams, it will affect others.
Addy is most certainly a victim, and the adults in her life failed her in ways that are incredibly difficult to reconcile.
But how can we not mention her? This is an athlete who ran a 4:26 1600, while playing soccer and basketball, and ran 12 miles a week in XC. She placed 5th at USAs. Doping is doping whether you are 18 or 38. Are we all supposed to turn our heads at the same time?
imagine a boy runs a 2:04 800 his jr year of hs
then sr year runs the following times for 1600, winning each of them by the stated amount: Apr 12th - Mile - 4:42 - 17sec margin of victory May 17th - 1600 - 4:51 - 38sec margin of victory May 24th - 1600 - 4:37 - 30sec margin of victory June 3rd - 1600 - 4:38 - 5sec margin of victory
so he is literally never even challenged
now set up a TT for this kid with a pacer that can handle any pace
right off the bat i'd be thinking "go out at 4:28 pace the first half and then see what happens"
4:26 is not at all shocking when you look at her race results and margins of victory
1500 times for a middle distance runner are typically right around double their 800 time (if they have roughly equal ability at 800/1500), which would point to a 4:08.8 for 1500 or just under 4:27 for 1600
This is wildly misleading. Be honest with yourself here.
it serves no purpose other than to fed the illness of the OP
Why would we delete this thread? History often repeats itself . It was newsworthy when we learned a deacde ago that Rupp was often around a coach with access to PEDs and the same is still true today.
Rather than delete it, we have uploaded the PDF to our own server so it can't be deleted.
This thread needs to stay up. This is the first I've seen of this document.
Whiskey- Tango -Foxtrot???????
Are you kidding me? His athletes were doping (inadvertently or otherwise). How the hell did USATF allow the HU athlete to compete in the trials? How many times was she tested? Are the results public? This is absolutely ridiculous!!
Careful, I mentioned these tweets in a separate thread and it was deleted by the mods in minutes…..
It’ll likely get restored. There are auto-delete functions that kick in once a thread or post gets reported a certain number of times and given that it’s clear someone is manipulating VPN/IP addresses/cookies to look like multiple people for reporting, commenting, and voting purposes. Rojo talked about this in one of the recent podcasts.
Translation: Too many people have been reporting the abusive postings which has been causing them to be removed.
Result: One of the founders has decided the reports should be disregarded and the abusive postings restored.
Additionally: There have been too many down votes toward abusive postings. Thus the up and down votes are being changed by one of the founders to provide more support for abuse.
There is nothing to see here folks. Rest assured, the forum shall continue to function the same as it always has in the past.
*Note: If you disagree with the above, just consider it to be the typical misplaced humor, and therefore acceptable.
i find it extremely hard to believe that addy wiley would be doping and getting away with it given the spotlight she's been under since the story broke
What spotlight?
Dopers only get caught if they are tested regularly in and out of competition. Who exactly do you think is drugs testing Wiley? She's a student at an NAIA school. The NAIA (like the NCAA) refuses to join the world anti-doping regime. The NAIA does not have a history of drugs testing -- they only started testing at their championships in 2017! What makes you think they are going to spend money to a spotlight on Wiley?
If she was being tested regularly, don't you think she'd be telling the press that?
No, why would she? It's nobody's business how many times she pees in a cup.
