That was a good "live" moment, a good TV move which this sport could use a thousand times more of, and probably a pretty decent PsyOp play on her opponents if you were standing next to her on the starting line.
I didn't watch the interview so I'm setting that aside, but there was nothing off-putting at all about the wig or celebration for me.
If my five favorite runners right now are Athing Mu, Noah Lyles, Yared Nuguse, and Kipchoge, but I "hate" Sha'carri, does that mean I am racist?
It has nothing to do with race. Everyone knows that. It has everything to do with that weirdly Trump-like combination of megalomania AND persecution complex. People who think they are way better than the rest of the world and at the same time are victims of the world.
We just want her to be happy and do well. Being "angry crazy" is not part of the game-plan for happiness.
Im sorry to say that, in todays world, yes, you are racist.
You may as well get started on your -“ Ive seen the error of my ways”- apology tour

Dude you’ve literally made posts advising avoiding black people altogether. That’s racist in any day’s world.
Oh I'm totally a hater. Anyone dumb enough to be coached by Dennis Mitchell and keep company with Justin Gatlin deserves to fail and be rooted against.
What ya think of all the Salazar and Shelby supporters?
I can’t stand them either. Perhaps you shouldn’t make asinine assumptions.
I notice nobody here is talking about her mechanics, execution, phases, splits, position, arm carriage, SE discipline, block angles, foot plant, drive phase, relaxation, etc.
I don’t care if she’s green, with purple hair, a wig, fake tits, tats, whatever—she is in shape. She is light, which helps her endurance. She maintains form, with excellent front-side discipline, which is terrific. IMO it gives her good vmax endurance, I think she must go 30-40m with consistent splits.
FloJo had amazing splits in that 10.49, of course—an unreal second half. ScR probably doesn’t have the same ultimate vmax, and so imo won’t reach 10.49, but consistency at 10.7 is amazing—and she might still improve that start by, say, 0.03-0.05 this season.
IF she can improve the start and early accel, she could get to vmax earlier, and maybe extend those even splits to 40-50m, which would be epic. In that case, incredibly, she could hit legit 10.6’s
Insane! Too bas SAFP and ETH are on the low—think about this fantasy WC final:
She was very rude in the interview. However he was the ultimate pro and handled it with class. It's hard to root for someone like Richardson. She is not nice and if she got rid of that huge chip on her shoulder it serve do her well.
Couldn't be more wrong, she's very easy too root for if for no other reason, then because it triggers snowflakes like you. She shouldn't change anything about herself.
Wait. In what way is she easy to root for ? She's behaved closer to a professional the last few monthe which means she's at least headed in the right direction. It shows in her running. But easy to root for ? In what way? Triggers snowflakes? More like it triggers adults and professionals. And what makes her harder to appreciate are super fans like you who rejoice when she drops a fast time in a race that doesn't matter and disappear when she's dead last in a race that counts. Or you either excuse or celebrate her bad behavior.
She's looking better. She's always had the talent to threaten for international championships. She's never shown she has the brass or maturity to deliver when is matters most.
Celebrate now. Hope y'all are back on here when she's not only out of the medals but then fades to the back of the 100m finals because she knows she can't win.
She's got a chip on her shoulder and she runs angry. And she's a national champion with personality and she's not afraid to show it. And c'mon, having the Olympics taken away from you because you found out your biological mom died, and you take a puff of weed?? I know some people on this board want "Yes, sir" and "No, sir" from every athlete. She's a person, not your entertainment. If she was a UFC fighter, she'd be praised for her badass fierceness. Long may she run.
And what makes her harder to appreciate are super fans like you who rejoice when she drops a fast time in a race that doesn't matter and disappear when she's dead last in a race that counts.
She just won a US title. That’s a race that “counts”.

Great post. She is the US National 100m Champion. Given the long history of great US sprinters she has achieved a career milestone and will forever be a champion. Go Sha'Carri.
I just don't understand the Sha'Carri supporters. She is a petulant child. She is disrespectful to anyone who challenges her. She is terrible role model for kids. And it's not about the flamboyance. Noah Lyles is flamboyant. He is a showman. But he is respectful to others. You know who else has some class? The Jamaicans. And I think Sha'Carri needs another helping of humble pie. She hasn't gotten enough.
She has great talent but if you take a long view she hasn't really done that much so far. When you look at the great sprinters over the last few years they perform their best in the most meaningful competitions (read: Olympics, WC) and have consistency and staying power. Of course the first name that comes to mind is Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce. Richardson has a long way to go to even be mentioned in SAFP's company. That said, she's still young and if she stays consistent and injury free she could become an all time great. Let's see what she does in Budapest.

Voice of reason. Nothing better than a redemption story and she has plenty of time to earn the respect some on here believes she deserves just for being fast. Noah is a great example of a black man, who has plenty of personality , performs with confidence and flamboyance yet he is respected and admired by most. Shatters the narrative put forth by the Sha'Carri fan club. Two things Noah has done that Sha'Carri hasnt: performed big on the international stage and treats others with respect.
Underrated comment. These sprinters need to stop crediting God with the years of hard work they put in.
They believe their god gave them the talent to be among the best. Hard work only gets you so far.
But then they also have to be perfectly fine with the idea they are important enough for 'gawd' to bless with massive physical talent while at the same time utterly ignoring the horrifying suffering, torture, rape, murder, abuse, genocide, etc visited upon homo sapiens by one another and which gawd seemingly either does not know or care about... i guess it's all fine as long as they can run fast/jump high/throw far? F**k. Completely toxic narcissism.

Haha! They need to stop or else what?
They feel differently than you do about their life.
I do find that weird. Notice that none of them give credit to God when they don't win. If you are going to give God thanks, do so when you win and when you don't win.
