Oh dear! If Mary "slowed Keely up", then Keely should have been able to blast the final 300m ( which was the strongest part of her race at the OIympics and the World's. ) No, it's clear - very clear-to see that Keely has a "head problem" with Mary.
I don’t think you understand 800m racing. It’s hard for most athletes to accelerate dramatically unless the pace is way slower than they’re capable of, which it wasn’t through the first 300+ meters. Keely tried to force the pace on the backstretch but Moraa matched her and denied her the pass. Then Keely ran extra meters on the final curve and it’s not surprising she didn’t have another gear in the final 100. Sure, Paris may have been a better day for her, but it’s incredibly obvious that Moraa’s tactics dramatically affected the race and Keely’s finishing time.
Dang. Watching it live here on the srf in Switzerland and had 2 windows open. One with the live stream, the other the Diamond League website. Women's 100m, just before the start, the DL site shows me who won before the race even started. I'VE FOUND THE TRICK TO WIN MILLIONS! SEND ME 1000 BUCKS AND I'LL PLACE YOUR BETS FOR YOU! I GET 10%!
I wonder why they set the pace at such a slow pace. Looks like they never go for it. It was the same in Oslo until Kejelcha decided otherwise
It's set for the Swiss record (13:07, Markus Ryffel 1984 Olympics). Raess is going for it. Ryffel is a big deal here in Switzerland. He started a running shoe shop in Bern which is hugely popular, was bought up by a massive conglomerate that owns pretty much 60% of everything here, but kept his name. Ryffel is a hero here. Akin to Coe or Ryun.

there are two different lights. One at 12:55 and one at 13:07

Good eye. I missed that in the Swiss broadcast. In any case, doesn't look like the leaders are paying much attention to that 12:55 light.
