Interesting, I didn't know there was such a thing to look up companies. The incorporation papers show that Mrs. Pawan Kumari Dosaj was born in 1936, and he was born in 1964 (died at 53), so she was his mom, not wife. Sad for a mom to lose her child.
A few hours after Christian Coleman ran 6.37 to break the 60m WR, UTEP's Michael Saruni ran 1:14.79 for 600 in Albuquerque to break Cas Loxsom's indoor 600 WR of 1:14.91. Saruni's former UTEP teammate Emmanuel Korir broke the...
Or the day after that thread - 1/27/2018 on the docs. I wonder if it was an unexpected death, like an accident. I suppose many of us are destined to keep posting here on our deathbeds. Not really unbelievable for someone literally living with his mom.
Yes, you can search the English death records and find his exact death date. It's the same date (UK timezone) as his last post. I posted this info in the past on here and it always got nuked. RIP
That's what I'm saying. He may have died while calling people "idiots" on this message board. Not a bad way to go, I guess. He died doing what he loved.

You should be aware that when he posted that last post it was already 1/27 in London. So he was posting on 1/27 where he lived, and if you geniuses are correct that he died on 1/27 in London, he was posting on his last day, and could have died right after his last post, or maybe he was angrily composing a post which was never sent. If so, he died doing what he loved.

Yeah he would have sent that last post at like 2:49 am London time on 1/27. So he was your typical LetsRun poster, living with his mother. If he is indeed dead, and he died on 1/27/18, then he sacrificed his life for this place. Ex-runner asked him whether he was drinking again and that last post Ventolin began with “my apologies.” The apology may have been what killed him.

Wow, I can think of better ways to leave this world than a heart attack whilst engaging in a heated debate with ex-runner over Michael Saurani's intrinsic times.
That apology was unlike him. Almost sounds as though he might have felt some palpitations and realized he had to calm down.
We ought to pay respect to Ventolin by always striving to remember that this is only a running forum at the end of the day, and that we all have a common love of the sport here.
Was that thread YMMV's last post as well? Didn't he disappear around this time too?
He would. I feel the same as I feel about the Tina Turner news. I thought he'd grown weary of the incessant infighting here, and I could relate. While his predictions were extremely optimistic, you can't deny his passion.
How did I not know he was born Kenya?

YMMV is still here. Posts under unregistered "X Y" (or similar, as you know how things can go with unregistered usernames).
Are you sure that's him? I think in some of those posts, he was asked if he was "YMMV" & the poster said no.
Why would someone who's had a registered name for years, maybe even a decade or more, all of sudden change their user name & become deceptive about it? 🤔
Usually regular posters who have used the same username for years keep the name because theirreputation, good or bad, is associated with it.
It would be like "rekrunner" or "fisky," long time posters of this forum, changing their user name & keeping quiet about it.
On the other hand, who remembers when Iguider ran the WL on that wonky track in Marseille (or somewhere like that I think?). They started the race from the wrong line which was about 1500m up the track from the right start line. I think the track had an outside steeple pit and it was the start line for something like the 2k steeple or something. Anyway, vento argued like crazy it was a legit time and the right line but it was eventually proven to be the wrong line and the results were invalidated. He then got the thread and his posts deleted. He was calling everyone an idiot in that thread non-stop.
I remembered another incident very similar to the above. I think it involved world xc and ventolin was trying to extrapolate ridiculous fast track times based off of what runners did on the xc course. I seem to recall that it was obvious the courses were short, because the paces in xc would've been close to world record pace on the track.
I think most seasoned runners know it's pointless to "convert" xc to track, but even more so when the course measurement is so blatantly off. See the post by Clinician below. I am going to try and find the original thread where he argued about this.
He was a weird dude. I remember he used to troll under different usernames. Sometimes he'd forget to switch accounts so he'd write his ventolin posts with calculations under a name like someonehadtosayit.
I offered a reason why I do not believe it is the London doctor. Deleted.
London doctor was too young. I am certain Ventolin was an older man. I am certain Ventolin was only a few years younger than Jim Ryun or close to age of Jim Ryun. I am certain Ventolin was a U.S. citizen.
I think this is a possibility. I imagined him to be much older than someone born in 64. But it's very odd Ventolin hasn't posted since 2018.

No, this is totally wrong. He used his real name in interviews with British Track websites/media. His company registration for his calculator is public info. The name listed is Ajay Dosaj for the company. Clear as day.
Dr. Ajay Kumar Dosaj of London is a big track fan. A Kenyan-born Indian, he has posted more than 7,000 times (as “eldrick”) on the Track & Field News message boards. He knows track inside and out, and isn’t shy about expressi...
