Halfway thru Game 2, Rui Reeves DLo and AD have all been better than LeBron. So 3rd best Laker in Game 1 and 5th best in Game 2
At this time he has more rebounds and points than any other Laker and has the 3rd most points.
Thank you for the box score. Now take a moment and break down the game of basketball. LeBron is a stat padder. There is no way you can watch that game and say he played well. 4th best Laker on the court tonight.
LeBron played terrible down the stretch. 3 missed 3s in a row (none of which he should’ve taken) and a missed layup after a steal that would’ve gotten them within 2.
Murray played great. He was locked in.
Rui and AD were keeping the lakers in it, but I don’t think anything was stopping Denver at the end.
Denver seems to have an answer for all the Lakers adjustments. This series might be shorter than we once thought. I don’t think Murray will play that well in LA, but that might not matter.
You are a box score watcher, not watching the actual games. AD is by far their #1. In the playoffs, Rui has been their #2 twice, DLo once, and Reeves a few times. LeBron melted down at the end of Game 1 - missed 2 three pointers, 2 free throws and a costly turnover while Reeves and Davis led the comeback down 18.
You could easily make an argument for either AD or Lebron being the Laker's best player right now, and really only because Lebron is old.
I would vote AD as better right now, but that we're even having this discussion shows the unbelievable career Lebron has had. At Lebron's current age of 38, Jordan had retired twice and was playing for the Wizards. Bird had retired by 38. Kobe (RIP) had retired. Even Kareem, who aged famously well, had his last 20 ppg season at 38.
Meanwhile Lebron, who has been in the league since 19, is perhaps still as good as Davis, a 29-year-old future Hall of Famer. GOAT rankings aside, Lebron's career is utterly unique.

That wasn't stat padding. He still does what's needed to win. He was horrible down the stretch but AD was worse. With 7 minutes left in the 3rd they were up by 11. He was substituted and Denver caught up. Jokic was then subbed in and the Nuggets scored 8 straight points. The Nuggets have a better supporting cast.

They have lost both games with LeBron having 2 straight bad 4th quarters. He is not to blame entirely but this conversation started due to him being the best Laker this entire playoff run. That just isn't true. He's been closer to Reeves level of play than he has AD.

AD should be the best but is too inconsistent as are most of their players. Reeves is their most consistent player. Lebron and Reeves were the only players whose +/- was positive. The Lakers, a poor shooting team, couldn't grab offensive rebounds, they were out hustled. Lebron played poorly at the end but not because lack of effort. He can't trust his teammates for good reason.
Lebron is far from a sharpshooter but to say he’s the worst 3 point shooter left in the playoffs is a bit of a stretch.
Your take just keeps getting worse and worse for you, buddy. By FAR the worst at shooting the 3 and it isn't even remotely close
I mean it’s not objectively the case. There are guys like Luke Kornet from Boston who are clearly worse 3 point shooters. If you’d rather have Kornet take a wide open 3 than Lebron with the season on the line, more power to you chief.

Little man, you are reaching for guys who don't even play. Among those who actually play, LeBron is the worst 3 point shooter left in the playoffs. 23.3% and 0/19 on 3's in the 4th quarter. Season on the line aka 4th quarter, LeBron still looking for his first make.
