I’m 62 and started using TRT crème (100 mg/day) about 2 years ago. Did it for sleep related issued. My T was below, and/or at the very bottom of, normal for my age and is now in the upper range of normal. Sleep quality is much improved (finally) and my Hb is 16.5-17.0 g/dL (Hct 50%). I run just so that I can keep from getting fat and old; however, quality sleep and a high Hb make life a lot more enjoyable. Costs $59 month and I monitor my T about every 6 months. Under direction of a physician.
What was your test level prior to treatment & what is it now? (the American Urology Association defines "low testosterone" for anything less than 300 ng/dL).
I'm middle-age & my most recent test level is 524 ng/dL taken last year (Jul/2022). One year before that I was at 564 ng/dL (2021). I don't sleep well either but that's because I have post-traumatic OA & back problems from numerous major running related joint injuries from decades of overtraining.
Aren't you concerned with your high hematocrit at your age? 50% is high - mine is only 44% & I live at altitude in the mountains of Colorado. Have you consulted with a cardiologist?
