We changed the title of this thread. It initially was entirled, "Jonathan J. Marcus, What is your LetsRun Username? J. Marcus accuses Yared Nuguse of Doping Based on....." We removed the first half as we didn't think it was really relevent to the discussion at hand.
People like Astro Touhy make the same accusations against a young freshman girl day in and day out just because she’s found herself surrounded by a cast who has made poor decisions in other areas.
You mean CRISPR, the gene editing technology? So basically the leading biotechnology experts at the top research institutes in the world have figured out how to edit someone's genes to improve their performance in the mile, and they decided not to reveal their discoveries to the world and get the scientific recognition for which they have worked their entire lives. Instead, they are getting paid a couple thousand dollars from the OAC to use it on Nuguse.
Ritz has his athletes working with the same doctors that NOP did.
It's the grey area playbook.
The form analysis is dumb. But the overall point is probably accurate.
Salazar never had an athlete as talented as Nuguse. Took 2.51 seconds off Lagat's record despite a pedestrian third 400. In one race he crushed every other American born miler except for Alan Webb. Barring injury that will happen. Just pray that Ritz doesn't hurt him. Who needs grey area stuff when you've got the genes?
Thank you. I've been reporting posts like those. I don't know what people think the 1st amendment is, but it wasn't meant for things like that.
That post should be deleted and the poster banned.

What is with the whataboutisms? you don't think that Tuohy faces the same doping allegation day in and day out and has been for a much longer time that the woman your making you're referring to? BTW, she is a woman - not a girl.
In my post a few up from this I did not call anyone out except Marcus and the bonehead poster that said boneheaded Marcus was correct about the doping accusations regarding Nuguse. I didn't mention Astro at all. What Astro does is not right either. Are you consistent?
This isn't a thread about Tuohy so let's not make it into one. And FWIW, Astro is not Tuohy. You insinuation Tuohy of being Astro are just about as bad as someone making unfounded doping accusations against someone else

The Magness' are the T&F equivalent of Alex Jones- here's why
They conduct shotgun-method "journalism", "Research". Make a million claims and stories and a few are bound to hit...this isn't one of them. I'll call myself the biggest doping accuser on this site and I am confident that was a clean result.

Pretty sure Farah was more talented (3:28), Rupp over 10000m maybe too.
This guy has obviously cracked the code. What better way to beat the urinalysis and blood tests than by having great running form. You can't test for that!

If an accusation about someone is written or spoken, and is found to be patently false, the accuser can be successfully sued for libel if the accusation is written or slander if it’s spoken. I’m surprised that more blowhard tool bags like this guy aren’t sued. I’m referring to people that make posts like this and this Marcus nobody whose opinions aren’t worth the pile of dog crap my dog just left in the backyard.
In fairness, you would never want to try to sue somebody for a stupid post on LetsRun. Unless it is extremely harmful and significant, it is not worth it as despite the libel laws, in the United States, going after slanderers is very difficult at best. In other countries, one could hold people to count for slandering you much easier than in the US.
Studies have shown running economy can't be guessed by simply eyeballing someone's form.
Get out of here. Next you're going to tell me my Garmin VO2 max "isn't really accurate."
Don't go after the wonderful Garmin VO2 max calculations. It has taught me so much! I discovered, for example that in order to improve my VO2 max all I have to do is go down to sealevel (I live at 6600¨) and run for 5 or 6 days and my VO2 max improves by 15 points! I would never have guessed that without the Garmin watch! (giggle)
