Go pro and join the ranks of world class also rans. Stay in college and create records that will endure for years. The financial rewards that she has now are sufficient to keep her in school until her full eligibility is finished.
Jenny Simpson is the blue print here. (Galen Rupp or Centro on the men's side). They stayed in college even when being Olympians/competing with pros and setting NCAA records. The benefit to staying in college with a coach/program that is working is they were able to myth build and become an NCAA legend making your value the highest it can possibly be going into negotiation. Winning 2 -3 more titles and setting some outdoor records would do that.
None. You didn't know that? The point is that she isn't leaving college to go pro for that very reason. She is the best college runner but an afterthought if she is in a pro uniform. She isn't dumb.
This may have already been said, but there's also the collegiate/team atmosphere to take into account. I don't know her, but it seems like she really, really, really...just enjoys running for that team.

You're a complete tool bag. I've seen other posts in other threads where you have accused Tuohy of being Astro. That would be a cool trick since I have been on these forums in the past when Astro's posts have appeared at the exact time that Tuohy is competing. Are you saying that she is so good that she can post on these forums while racing and still kick everyone's ass including whomever it is that you're the simp for? 🤣
She would now have to pay for housing (free as part of her scholarship)
She would need to pay for coaching
She would have to pay for any PT/massage (surely paid for by NC State now)
Excellent point. 40% of $200k right away to the criminal Gov via the unlawful communist income tax, and you are immediately down to $120k. Then, let's take 15% of that to the agent, and now you're down to $102k. Then, that $102k has to pay for coaching, housing, travel expenses, meals, use of medical and training facilities. And how much of that is left over to save after paying for all of that? Maybe $10-20k?
Who knows how much Tuohy is getting from that NIL deal with Adidas, but coupling that with all of the coaching/housing/meal expenses covered by NC State, it is probably about a wash financially for her to stay in college.
Then, there is the fact that there are other factors that are more important to an athlete than just money and the financial aspect -- such as which situation makes her most happy. In many interviews, she has said that she never considered going pro straight out of high school, because she wanted to experience the team aspect of college, and especially college cross country. She loves being a part of a team. You don't get that in the pros.
I bet if you could poll pro runners who ran in the NCAA and recently graducated, and asked them what they would like to be doing, and bet that most of them would say they wish they could still be in college.
I bet if Tuohy were to leave college early, she would regret it, and wish she had stayed in college for as long as she can.
Someone has no idea how taxes work.....

Interesting that there is a track. Her improvement is much less than other elite pros so how do you know? I guess you just hate all competitors and are jealous of all of them.

Katelyn Tuohy in the US and World list:
Indoor Mile = US #6 and World #11 Indoor 3000m = US #3 and World #5
LET ME EDUCATE YOU REAL QUICK ABOUT PROGRESSION
so, alicia ran 8:45 as a junior at millrose games 2019, the american record that time was slaney's 8:25 from 1985, so alicia was 20 seconds away from the american record at 20
fast forward to the present time, katelyn tuohy runs 8:35 as a junior at millrose games, the american record is still 8:25(alicia's record), katelyn is just 10 seconds away from the american record at 20
it took alicia 4 years to improved her 3k college PR by 20 seconds
it took katelyn tuohy 1 year and 2 months to improved her college 3k PR by 19 seconds
before katelyn improved by 19 seconds from 8:54 to 8:35, she improved by 26 seconds from 9:20 to 8:54 in less than a year WITHOUT ALTITUDE TRAINING LIKE THE TOO PROS
