Females have low representation across the sport. Hiring one female distance coach, watch holder or operations person doesn't count. We won't tackle the wage gap. They have a graduate student female there that's willing and ready to accept the position. They can't justify the hire. They're looking for a under achiever, near retirement.
Has there been any word on the NCAA Expansion Committee and their January meeting regarding all these potential changes? Potentially doubling the size of track coaching staffs. Have to wonder what that would do to potential job openings
There are already teams with four or five full time coaches despite being allowed six. just because the cap has been removed doesn't mean every school is going to suddenly go out and double the size of their staff

and if a lot of P5 programs move to 8 paid coaches, you may see more G5 programs go from 4-5 to 6 coaches in order to keep up. Some mid majors may consider going from 3 paid coaches to 4 or 5.
Not every school would change, but it.is likely you would expect a sizeable increase in the number of coaches at all levels of DI.
