Obviously it would have to be of mutual consent. Such a camp lifestyle might very well even be a recruiting perk. I wouldn’t be shocked if Brosnan has not looked into the idea, and how to fund it (e.g., with alumni backers, etc.)
Sean Brosnan is always looking into ideas. And I don't think funding would be the main problem.
It's more about whether or not a college would allow their coach to do that. If it's the type of thing that a college would allow, then why hasn't another coach ever done it before?
Only in Letsrun world would Sean Brosnan be brought into a conversation about Oregon and Chris Solinsky. It won’t matter is they train at altitude for indoor because they won’t have any athletes competing at NCAA’s.
If it’s selection for championships, that’s 11/12. 45 days would be before 1st of the year.
That is a different way to interpret the rule. When does the football transfer window open? Is it 45 days after the Championship Bowl teams are determined, or 45 days after the championship game is played?
The football transfer window for non-graduate players opened up December 5th, which is the day after the playoff teams were announced.
Besides Parker Valby, are there any other good distance runners currently being coached by Solinsky that might also transfer?
What about Angelina Perez?
Busy treating ED. Its safe to say Valby is the only runner given time and effort by Solinsky, I don't think Valby ever mentioned training with her teammates, she always says "I" not "We".

If you actually listened to her online interviews, one of her main motivations to come back last spring was in order to contribute to her team’s Championship Title.
Local recruit sophomore Shapiro is another athlete that has had significant improvement.

So? Valby wanted to be healthy so she can train with Florida sprinters? So they can run 35 miles per week and spend 2 hours everyday cross training together? Is that what you are implying?
Let me tell you something, Perez and Valby are in the same team but they are not even close. Don't be suprised if Valby goes where Solinsky goes.
I’m against Parker going to Oregon. She would lose her tan quickly.
On a side tangent, I was curious whether UCLA could set up a training camp in Big Bear for their distance athletes, so they would take classes online in order to live up there through the semesters? Just an idea.
Or maybe they could just move UCLA to Mammoth or better yet Flagstaff... such a great idea.
Most posters are former D3 distance runners who think the Florida team isn't good because they don't realize that distance runners compete in 3 different sports of which only one is XC.

A title is a title, regardless of whether the pole vaulters are mixing it up with the triple jumpers, or the sprinters are taking a stab at the shot putt, which only you seem to be “implying”. lol
You are obviously another tuohy-ite going through a slow-burn, lol, or maybe you are perez and and pissed you missed out. pfffft
That post of yours was so stupid, it’s either semihaze, or rojo clickbait if.
Hello I am here..why would i give a f about perez and pole vaulters?? .. what is even the tea here ??
I feel it would be a good move for Chris to go to Oregon, or another school for that matter.
#1: His name is hot right now due to Valby's performance.
#2. Without Valby I'd be worried if he'd still be employed at UF. Look at their track record of letting distance coaches go at UF over the last 15yrs. You finish in the last half of the SEC or outside the top 5 at NCAA regionals and you're on the hot seat. Scholarship money or not, they do care about XC. Remember the men were 19th at regionals. Without Parker they are in the last half of the SEC and a dismal showing at regionals.
#3. Mouse is going to retire soon. Not saying today or tomorrow, but I doubt he finishes out his contract. Better to control your own future than hope the new guy retains you.
It’s true - he recently followed Oregon on Instagram. Expect an official announcement this week
This thread is ridiculous. Solinsky to Oregon has no merit. I am not going to bother looking to see if he followed Oregon on Instagram but even if he did, so what? My guess also is that it isn't "recently." I am also guessing that a lot of coaches follow other programs on Instagram. That doesn't mean that they're going to those programs. The collegiate XC world is very small and everyone knows pretty much everyone else. If Solinsky goes to Oregon, it's as the HC.
Personally I would like to see Solinsky remain at UF and build it up into a big program. The women are closer to being in the top echelon of the SEC as Alabama, Arkansas, and Ole Miss than the men are in being up with Alabama, Tenn, Arkansas, & Ole Miss, and with some more good incoming talent, they can get there. I am not sure what is coming in but having a runner as talented as Parker Valby should be a draw for other talent.
If for whatever reason Solinsky does go to Oregon, and I don't believe that he will, I hope that Valby does not follow him. I would love to see her end up at a program like NC State, New Mexico, Alabama, NAU, or Oklahoma State. To think how good Valby could be she lived and trained at altitude. Also, to think how good a team would be with Tuohy & Valby. NC State would be one of the best, if not the best, collegiate team ever.

Sorry dude, Solinksy just posted it on his own Instagram story. Rumors are true.

Does anyone know what Parker Valby's finalist colleges were when she was a high school senior?
I'm asking because, if she doesn't follow Solinsky to his new school, those finalist colleges may have a shot at getting her.
Solinsky also coaches Imogen Barrett who was the SEC 800 champion and 4th at Nationals. And Gabrielle Wilkinson who was 3rd in the SEC and 9th at Nationals.
