I don't have an answer and I'm obviously partial. I also won't divulge any information that isn't publicly available. We should see after Saturday if Flower Mound sends everyone to the Southlake 3200 like last year.

2022 Returning Outdoor 3200 Times...

Flower Mound’s success depends on whether they have a good 4/5 or not. If not, Southlake will be better.
I'm pretty analytical, but don't know how to calculate what will carry more weight, the #1-3 or the #4-5. You may also get different results in a small meet vs. state meet.
So 2021 State Flower Mound had 4-9-15-43-70 points taking out Seniors = 141. Southlake 20-24-27-46-49 = 166.
In that sense Flower Mound looks like the favorite, but I think it will be closer than that. Will the performance of Humphries sisters and Fox be impacted at all without Natalie Cook there to push in practice and races? There also isn't much potential for improvement in the points top 3 at Flower Mound. I think all 5 spots Southlake can see big improvement.
For the Southlake 3200 Flower Mound used very aggressive made up times except for Humphries sisters vs. Southlake using real times. Go through the list, everyone like 20-40 seconds faster than their PR's. Pathetic, they think there are no consequences? My daughter is first one out of the Championship heat using a real time that is faster than PR's of 5 of the Flower Mound girls in the Championship heat. Coaches should be on the same page, if you are using made up hopeful times then everyone should, there is a good chance my daughter breaks her 3200 PR by over 10 seconds. 2 weeks ago she broke her 1600 PR by 7 seconds when it was 92 degrees.
Wow Grapevine has a guy at the same level as Rayon. Apparently he’s a transfer from Lubbock. He’s a junior.
With this transfer they might be challenging for another 5A title if their 3-4-5 step up. I wouldn’t be surprised if that happens though. Grapevine had lots of seniors in 2018 and they still reloaded after that.
This year Grapevine is looking to have just 2 seniors on varsity (at the most) so expect next year to be really good for them, competing with Lucas Lovejoy.
Flower Mound’s 3/4th fastest girl seeds are 11:10 and 11:15. Without Fox. Would have been 4th and 5th seed without her. Not bad actually.
As I posted the seed times by Flower Mound past Humphries are aggressive, but we’ll give them the benefit of the doubt. after Saturday’s race I will post a comparison of how Southlake and Flower Mound raced vs their seed times. I can tell you all if Southlake’s are real PR’s from Spring and 75% of them are running faster now.
Nonsenior SLC boys seeds: Alvarez - 9:30 - 11 Troutman - 9:36 - 11 Severson - 9:39 - 10 Leonard - 9:40 - 9 Bullard - 9:50 - 10 Van De Berghe - 9:54 - 11 There’s also 11th grader Golomb who ran a 9:32 last spring. This is a solid top 7 for next year. Them and Jesuit LA should go 1/2 at NXN in 2023 again. 3 of those guys are back for 2024. Just need to find 2 more.

I find this post so funny for so many reasons. The first one is you ridiculing the humphries because they didn’t run a 32 last year so they don’t have any good 32 times. Believe it or not, coaches talk. And if Leonard really wanted them to put in their actually PR’s he would of changed it to them. What’s also funny is that Sam Humphries 32 time is real. Nicole’s is a hand entered one because she didn’t run the 32 last season. Someone seems a little butthurt that nic ran their daughters 32 time an entire year earlier. Don’t forget to mention about how both of them have at least 30 seconds on any Southlake girl in the 5k, just on the track. You probably don’t even want to check actual courses. All this complaining on letsrun yet someone still hasn’t talked to leonard? Go have fun with that conversation while your washed up carroll girls get ready to get killed by the humphries “fake times”. Idk if u know this but time trials also exist.

I can tell the intellect of the person I’m dealing with here. my posts you quoted says “except for Humphries” and next one says “beyond Humphries”. Also earlier in the thread I list Flower Mounds #1-3 faster than Southlake’s #1 based on last years times. What school district did you come from that your reading comprehension is so bad? Any bets the difference in actual vs. seed times Saturday Southlake vs. Flower Mound?
it’s odd how this thread has had so many replies but barely any talk about how the woodlands poses a real threat to southlake this year? southlake’s boys have been riddled with injuries and the woodlands is stronger than ever before. it’ll be a rude awakening for southlake once they lose at state
Well SLC returns their 1-6, and the depth on that team is out of this world. So if someone from SLC is injured, there will be someone else that’s gonna step up.
I’m actually curious where a team of SLC’s 8-14th runners would be ranked in comparison to 6A’s varsity teams. Let’s say Hill,Golomb,Fisher,Cantu,Alvarez,Troutman, and Freeman are their top 7 this year,
the seed times of their 8-14 guys are: Dylan Fisher (not in this race but 9:47 in the 3200 last spring) Severson - 9:39 seed Litwin - 9:39 seed Ortiz- 9:40 seed Reddy - 9:40 seed Leonard - 9:40 seed Bullard - 9:50 seed Van de berghe - 9:54 seed Jacob Freeman (I think he might go to SLC, idk) - 9:45 in the 3200 last spring
