There were several posts on her saying they imagined Noble was popped for PEDs as they couldn't figure out why logically someone would go pro right now. I have deleted them as a source told me he has gone pro and signed with New Balance.
Call me biased as I used to be a college coach and called me old-fashioned as I'm over 40, but society is way too self-absorbed right now. Who is leading this charge to have people go pro in the middle of the season? Are the shoe companies the vultures or is it agent led? Or both deserve the blame?
I think it's sick they are putting these young people in this predicaments.
I don't like it one bit. If a shoe company tried to pressure me to go pro like weeks before NCAAs, I'd be like, "Screw you. Is your love for me conditional and the money going to go away in two weeks? I think it's sick you are trying to get me to go pro right now. I want to win an NCAA title for myself, for my coach and my university. There's more to life than money"
To be honest, it reminds me of the shady college coach who says, "I found some scholarship money but I need to know by Tuesday." Total BS. Let me have a little time to compare my options.
Ok. I can hear of you say, "But they might get hurt." My reply, "Then sign now and dont announce it until after the season."
This new fad is really pissing me off.
Hey. At least New Balance finally has a male US runner.

PS. I changed the title of the thread to reflect what I've learned. It was initially entitled, "
Christian Noble out of NCAA"
i upvoted a rojo post and i'm not sure what to think about myself.
