Hey paid low-level propaganda troll, Russia is a country of servile wiped dogs, too afraid to stand up to their master. You Russian cowards should grow some balls and overthrow your corrupt government, or you will be excluded from the rest of the world, while China sucks you dry of your resources on the cheap for the foreseeable future.
Apparently Russia has secured sufficient sales to its Central Asian allies to support the Russian people. Discuss.
Hi Russian Troll,
Did you know that Russia is highly dependent on selling oil and gas: "Russia is the world's largest exporter of natural gas and oil. According to the International Energy Agency, 45% of Russia's federal budget in 2021 came from oil and natural gas revenues."
Europe's days as Russia's best customer for energy appear to be numbered. Moscow will need to find new markets if it is to remain an oil and gas superpower, but its options are limited.
Hey Russian troll, here’s an economics lesson for you. If there’s no competition trying to buy your products, the remaining purchaser can name their price, meaning pennies on the dollar for Russia, and super cheap oil for China.
Finland will be next if they move forward with NATO enrollment.
That would lead to direct conflict with all of NATO. And the dilemma is the consequence of Putin's miscalculation. He didn't expect that his so-called special military operation would drive neutrals that share a border with Russia to fear that they would be a future target of expansion or external control, so they turned to Russia's adversaries with do no have a recent history of grabbing each other's territory.

Putin would need to be certifiably insane to invade Finland at this point.
Firm numbers aren't available, but there's enough evidence to come up with a base case estimate of casualties that may be heavy enough to impede Putin's plans.

There is no "next". Russia is finished as a world power and everyone knows it but the Russians actually who believe their TV's and Putin. The only question is will Russia start using nukes once they figure out anything beyond Ukraine is a fantasy with conventional weapons.
Russia has one of the fastest aging populations in the world. There are no young people coming after they get done killing all of their current youth in Ukraine.
This has more to do with Russia's desperation to support the Ruble than an attempt to strike back against countries supporting Ukraine. Russia has put in place draconian capital controls in order to support the Ruble. But those controls are just fingers in the dyke as Russia is in imminent danger of default on major financial obligations. Making countries pay in Rubles for gas drives up demand for the Ruble and supports its value against the dollar and Euro. If Russia can hold the Ruble at .12 USD, it will be able to hold off some of the impending debt defaults. But if the Ruble drops upon a default, the floodgates will really open and the Ruble will crash hard.
While gas prices have soared as a result, gas use in Europe is dropping as the weather warms. Europe is a sitting duck if they cannot figure out how to phase out Russian gas by the fall when temps drop.

That's a joke, right? Because the 'Stans all have tiny economies and are themselves major gas producers.
Putin really shot himself in the foot with this one. Europe wants to get off of Russian gas, they just don't want to anger voters by doing it too quickly. Now Putin has accomplished their goals and taken the blame to boot!

Yup, European leaders must be so happy they can get away from Russian oil and not have to take the heat. Putin is acting like European neoliberal sleeper agent at this point lol

They're not that happy about it they don't have anything to replace it with.
What are all of these Russians doing in eastern Ukraine?
Well, some just live there, and have lived there for a long time. And some are Russian agents, doing Putin's bidding. Anyway ....
FYI everyone - "Bye bye pole" is a foreign agent. Not kidding.
Nothing to be overly concerned about. Just so you can be aware of who you're talking to.
They hilariously hate it when I occasionally point them out here on letsrun.
Their objectives:
- Push propaganda, to get people believing their government's false narrative.
- Promote disinformation, to create confusion and chaos.
- Get us to argue amongst ourselves, by sowing discord and by exploiting existing divisions. This is to create disunity.
This is all straight out of the old KGB playbook. No joke.
As dumb and as crazy as it sounds, their posts on LRC are part of a grand-scale effort. These are the methods used to weaken nations from within over 5, 10, 20 year periods. It won't work here, but everyone should be aware that this is what they are trying to do.
I think you're confusing Russia with the USSR, which the current U.S. government has more in common with. Have fun pushing their propaganda while thinking Russia is the bad guy like the brainwashed moron you're so proud to be.
Russia f#*!ed itself in the long term. It is now clear beyond any doubt that it is a strategic and economic necessity for all of Europe to stop using Russian oil and gas. Russia's economy is completely based on fossil fuel sales.

They are thrilled. They are not the bad guys. Putin is. Your hero played right into their hand.
