It has not. Daily deaths in the U.S. from COVID rose to 2017 and 1777 a day the past two days from 1200-1300/day prior. If cases rise enormously while virulence decreases by less, you still get more deaths. We're unfortunately going to see a lot of COVID deaths next month.

More deaths from Covid or with Covid? Obviously if everyone gets Omicron in the next two months we're going to have the opportunity to blame a lot of deaths on Covid.
