If you read my post, I did not say that. One should stay away from others if they are symptomatic with something other than COVID as well. The difference is being forced to isolate from others for multiple weeks (depending on the entity having jurisdiction) when one is asymptomatic and not really in danger of infecting others (asymptomatic infection is extraordinarily rare).
