How many US dead to date in Afghanistan?
Imagine being clueless enough to think we should stay there.
Zero in the last 18 months.

Is reading an entire sentence too difficult for you?

Who said anything about staying there? Did I say that? Or are you just making things up?
What I do think is that maybe a plan should have been made PRIOR to the pullout. Having 1000s of people in one spot on a world stage like that made them sitting ducks for ISIS. You do you.
Tell your mom I said hi.

If you read the thread, you’d see multiple people claiming we should stay. Sometimes people respond to multiple points from various posters in a single post.
We NEVER should get into Wars unless the GOAL is Winning with an UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER, as Truman did in WW2

They will surrender after they get blasted back to the stone age with a few nukes.
What a sad and epic disaster. From one idiot president to another. It is as if the president keeps getting dumber as the number increases.
Who would have thought negotiating directly with the Taliban without the Afghan government was a good idea? Then to release 5,000 Taliban prisoners while the Afghan government disagreed. While not even starting the withdrawal process until after the Taliban start sweeping the country. No wonder the Afghan government collapsed so quickly. Now chaos ensues because of idiots in charge.

X2. Trumpturds are always moving the goalposts and never ever happy. Must be a sadly life.
The conversation is about explosions Kabul. At least a dozen Americans dead. You use the opportunity to make it political.
Sad life? Look in a mirror. And try not to smile when you know enlisted are dead. You’re dirt.
And how about giving up Bagram Airbase which is defendable and using the Kabul airport to jeopardize military and Afghans.
The problem with Biden resigning over this is that AWFUL human being Harris would become president. The country would be doomed.
I am a democrat but I have to admit this is Biden's fault. Sure, other presidents left him a bad situation but Biden handled everything in the WORST way possible. The Taliban now has billions of dollars of US weapons and they are now turning those weapons against us. Guns, helicopters, tanks.

Man, you’re missing the point. We went in the wrong order. We sent home the military BEFORE we sent home American citizens.
We also gifted $90+ billion in weapons and machinery to the Taliban.
How is this even something that someone would not recognize as a huge mistake? I didn’t think we could get any worse than Trump. I was definitely wrong.
Yeah I have been trying to figure out how our Presidents keep getting worse. I am afraid of what is next.

Absolutely not. Once the US hightails it from terrorists killing US troops in Afghanistan you think they're going to call it square and leave us alone? They are going to be emboldened and start planning the next terror attack on US soil.
This idea has always been completely absurd. "If we leave a small occupying force in the middle east, all of the terrorists will be completely distracted and forget the US homeland exists." Total fear-mongering nonsense.
Dropping bombs and killing civilians and creating constant instability is a surefire way to cause more terrorism and America hatred. The constant occupation, which has weakened our military and our financial stability at home, is the real danger to the American people.
And of course, you continue to lie about the options available to Biden. The conflict was inevitably and obviously going to escalate significantly if the US didn't stick to the pullout timeline that Trump agreed to with the Taliban. The choice was not "leave a small occupying force or bail entirely", the choice was "do another giant troop surge or bail entirely"
While we do not need to be dropping bombs on civilians, we need to maintain deterrence. Deterrence is the most effective means of preventing wars and bad events, which end up costing far more than deterrence resources. We are not talking about what is the proper way to have handled everything the past 20 years but the best path going forward.
The military expenditure is something like 20% of government spending at this point. It is the entitlements sucking us dry, not the military.
The idea that if the US left these people alone they would leave us alone has been proven wrong over and over again. We left Osama alone and he bombed our embassy in Kenya, we continued to leave him alone and 9/11 happened. These people have an ideological hatred of Western Civilization and exiting is not going to stop that hatred.
With 10 troops dead the re-entry into Afghanistan we tried to avoid is now coming. We tried to delay the reality that we could completely pull out but now reality is here.

Therefore America will never get into a war as you've not won one on your own for 200 years.

Yes we know. Only white male penises need apply.
Disturbing. This could have been avoided with the right order of things. Now I found out I know a contractor who was unable to make it out. This person will probably be killed. An American that would have left if only they knew what was coming. What Biden did was reckless. Know one could have known all the airports but one would even be unavailable. Biden's new slogan. Build The Taliban Back Better.

I'm not obligated to read or respond to anything. I'm just pointing out that the current death rate is very low. None in the last 18 months.
