Dear wazzu and unkle,
Many of us don't really care about politics. We also don't really care much about Covid- other than the negative impacts that result from it. We could care less about people trying to 'control' us and the notion that there's some global elite conspiracy to control the masses just sounds ridiculous and we really don't give a rip.
Many of us don't live in 'fear' of Covid or the vaccine. We also don't really pay that much attention to the media or whatever stories are being put out there. Heck, many of us couldn't even tell you what the actual current guidelines are- we just kinda follow the norms in our respective communities.
Many of us don't believe politicians or medical professionals are all-knowing Gods. They're just people making somewhat educated guesses about what's best. We know they aren't going to get it 100% right, but we believe their opinion is more valuable then random yahoos on YouTube and message boards.
Many of us didn't expect a one-time vaccine to fix everything forever. In fact, we'd be way more skeptical if a pharmaceutical company claimed their vaccine was going to be effective forever against all new strains of Covid.
Many of us don't think we'd die from Covid. In fact, we really don't even think we'd be that sick. But we also don't believe the vaccine will negatively affect us- at all. Considering there's 1.7 billion people fully vaxxed, it seems safe enough. We expect to have some sort of a reaction from the vaccine because the whole point of vaccines are to trigger an immune response. A triggered immune response usually causes you to feel symptoms. A first grader can understand that. Some people have abnormal immune responses to things so have more severe symptoms. Some people's throats swell up when they eat peanuts. Sucks for them, but I'm not afraid of peanuts. So of course, there's rare adverse events from the vaccines. Literally anything can trigger an abnormal immune response that causes mild-to-severe symptoms. If there were no symptoms or adverse reactions reported than that would mean the vaccine is a total sham and they're giving us 'blanks'.
Many of us don't really like restrictions, and many of us disagree with some, but we're also glad we're not the ones making these decisions. But regardless of how we feel about certain restrictions, it has no impact on choosing to get the vaccine. We are emotionally competent people- capable of separating our feelings from our logical decision-making that getting the vaccine is most likely beneficial for society as a whole.
Your posts- quite frankly- are annoying. You're addressing made-up people with made-up beliefs that you've created to oppose (or maybe a very, very small percentage of the world). I don't know how this benefits you at all.
So to conclude, none of us really care that much. Also, kindly get over yourself, the vaccine is fine. Its not going to fix everything, but it improves our odds. If everyone got it, we'd most likely be better off. No one can prove that with 100% certainty, but geez man, why do you have to be convinced 100%? Nothing in life is guaranteed; everything is purely playing the odds. And getting a freaking shot just isn't that big of a deal. It's just not.
Sincerely,
Pretty much every reasonable person on the planet
