My thoughts and prayers to the Burrell family and everyone who knew Cameron.
Life is precious and we're reminded of it so much more when someone young dies.

While we do not know the cause of death if any of you are suffering please remember life is precious and things can get better. Help can be a click or phone call away. Please call 1-800-273-8255 or go here if you need help
https://suicidepreventionlifeline.org/This is nice Wejo, but from a brother of a guy who fosters cyber bullying with his running of this message board and even takes part in it himself, I think you can safeguard young runner's mental state better by internal reforms, and censuring your brother more often, rather than giving out a phone number for those with issues.
His (Rojo's) classic excuse of this message board being like the gossip that happens in group runs, misses a huge point. On a group run maybe 5 people hear what is said and can only have limited consequences. But here what is said is read by thousands and can be found in searches by millions and does not go away, it is saved forever on the internet. So lies, rumors and hate full things can haunt people forever. Those things magnify by 100,000 x the hurt and damage that can happen on those gossip runs. It is ironic that operators of a message board notorious for cyber bullying is giving out mental counseling help line numbers.
Fat fingered that one.
Being reported as suicide, confirmed by the family.

Give me a break. What gets said on the Letsrun message board is damaging people's lives?
You are divorced from reality.
I will guess you are one of those Covid people who cry for banning anyone who doesn't buy it and thinks someone offering inconvenient facts of a different opinion is cyber bullying you.

What a shame
Please do NOT try to shame the dead here. There should be no shame here. Would you shame him if he had cancer? Mental illness or depression is an illness. We need to try to help each other out when we see signs of this in others. Sometimes it won’t matter though what we do. But we should try.

His death is a shame.
Don't try to pretend I am shaming him.

But when differing of opinion turns into bullying that's something else, and you know that happens on here quite often. I've posted innocent comments and someone immediately will respond with a reply that starts with a personal insult. I can deal with it but can you be sure that an insult isn't the last final thing that drives someone to suicide? And it doesn't matter if the person was suicidal coming in, I sure as hell wouldn't want to be the one that pushed them over the edge.
If cyber bullying causes one death it's one too many.
I think the best policy is to think "would I say this to someone's face?" before posting.
