A coach is not banned for 4 years for accidental infractions of the anti-doping rules. He is a dirty coach in a dirty sport, defended by endless deniers like yourself.
“accidental” is your term, and has no real significance here. You also said the violations were “significant”, which is arguable, but any argument would be moot, as again, your term has no real significant relevance here. The panel found it was “unintentional”, but this also has no bearing on the length of the ban for the various infractions.
With respect to Sifan Hassan, everyone should be comforted by the fact that no NOP athlete, in the history of NOP, was ever sanctioned by any anti-doping ADA or ADO, ever.
In addition to all NOP athletes in the entire history of NOP “never failing a test”, USADA conducted a lengthy 5-year investigation on Salazar and all NOP athletes, and a 2-year prosecution.
“USADA’s investigation yielded a wide range of evidence referenced in the hearing, including eye-witness proof, testimonies, contemporaneous emails, and patient records. Between the two cases, USADA relied on more than 2,000 exhibits, which the AAA heard along with the defendants’ cases. In all, the proceedings included 30 witnesses and 5,780 pages of transcripts.”
After Salazar’s conviction, Tygart was quoted as confirming:
“There is no point in the World Anti-doping Agency (WADA) looking into athletes who trained under banned coach Alberto Salazar because the U.S. Anti-doping Agency has already done that ….”
“USADA did not sanction any of his athletes after finding no evidence of any wrongdoing by them….”
“What they (WADA) would have learned is that we (USADA) left no stone unturned (in relation to any athletes) …”
