The court of appeals upheld the violation. Get a grip on reality and stop playing favorites.

Guilty or not, she should be given her day in court just like anyone who faces allegations.
You mean like The Court of Arbitration for Sport?
"The Court of Arbitration for Sport confirmed Tuesday its panel of judges “unanimously determined that Shelby Houlihan had failed” to prove how the anabolic steroid nandrolone got into her system."
OP has strong "STOP THE COUNT" vibes
Just want to point out how all the ppl speaking out against Shelby, insisting she is dirty, appear (on social media and even these anonymous MBs) seem to be a bunch of dudes—likely a bunch of dudes who cannot fathom running as fast as her. Therefore, ~*she must be dirty*~. Sry u all r slow.

Yes. See Baumann in 2001. I think it was Schumann back then who withdrew his entry so he wouldn't get banned for racing with a banned cheat.
But there is no winning here for the others. If they withdraw from the trials to avoid a ban, they can't go to Olympics.
The ban on racing dopers is to stop them organizing their own meetings during their suspension. USATF organizing their national championship surely doesn't meet the intention of the ban and wouldn't be upheld.
You don't think the international community could come down hard on the USA given their doping history?? Rules are not always applied for what their original purpose was. I'd think having national championships with dopers would be worth preventing as well.

She lost her appeal. The only irrational behavior is saying that multiple courts who examined hard data and test results all got the wrong ruling, but an internet sleuth who has never been within 300 miles of Shelby actually knows what she's doing.

Hard evidence (blood test) shows nandrolone in her system. Soft evidence (statement) shows she didn't do it on purpose.
Your court system is going to run into serious problems if hard evidence can be overturned by a defendant's plea of innocence.

Irrational: a world-class endurance athlete used a performance enhancer in an Olympic year
Rational: some pig meat got into a steak burrito which spiked levels of an anabolic steroid component to 250% the allowable limit within 12 hours of a random drug test and the clean-sport agencies that heard the appeal were unable to grasp the science involved to the degree that anonymous message board users do

Unfortunately for Shelby this in not EVIDENCE.

I am just wondering where I can get sport drink mix with boar offal ground up with electrolytes. Anyone know of a dealer...er, I mean seller...of this kind of product?
Her receiving an injunction would be a big story but the only reference to a decision is a Facebook post? I Googled her name and not a single story about an injunction popped up.
I doubt that you have an OT qualifying time, so although it would be delicious, your offal beverage won't do you much good.
I'd love some one to dress up as a burrito.
is this a mistake or is she actually going to be on the starting line tomorrow?

Hard for some of you to grasp that she could be innocent. Imagine your daughter is the top runner in your state in HS and is pulled from the sectional meet for being at a drinking party on a night that she was actually home with you watching a movie. You get a lawyer who gets a judge to allow your daughter to compete in the meet. Sounds like you would have just stood by and allow the school to ruin her senior year and ruin her reputation going into college.
You are an utter clown. That isn’t even close to being a similar situation.

So how do you know Shelby? Friend, family, teammate, maybe Shelby herself?
I got the sense from her fox interview that she thought there was a chance she could compete at the trials. It’s crazy to imagine her toeing the line after the week she’s had but my thinking is that she believes there’s a chance she could be cleared before the Olympics
"If she really does run, the tension on that starting line is gonna be so thick you can cut it with a knife"
Yeah, that does suck. Usually, an OT final has kind of a fun run feel to it.
Would the others sit down at the starting line if she is there, and refuse to race?

Oh God, we do not need another Jon Drummond situation like 2003 in Paris.

No. They're paid by their sponsors to race rather than to act like morons. If they did, it would be the stupidest protest in the history of sports.

Agreed. No chance any other BTC or Nike athletes participate.
Imagine sitting and Shelby wins her Swiss appeal and runs at Tokyo. How would you explain your decision to your sponsor?
