LOL. 7.7% inflation and AGIP is popping the bubbly! When Trump left office inflation was at 1.7%. The good old days ....remember those? When food prices were not at all time highs? When gas was dirt cheap. When the country was united.
when the country was united under Trump. Yes, good times.
/sarcasm
anyway, the better way to look at this inflation number is to annualize the month over month number - you get something like 5%. Which is getting down there, and heading in the right direction. The market is now assuming the Fed has maybe 50+25=75 bps more to hike and then will stop. That's less than before. Which is perceived as good for stonks.

Two comments here. One, this country can’t tally votes for days. Second, the huge moves in markets of the last week. None of this is close to normal, not good for markets, and not good for the Country.

The Masked Singer can tally votes in like 2 minutes live. But the most advanced country in the history of the world needs days to tally votes? Maybe the Masked Singer organizers can tally our votes?

it's not a national election, it's a collection of local elections. election clerks get paid what - $65k/year? we're not getting crack operations specialists at that kind of money. And of course the actual politicians are now making it harder with rules meant to 'secure elections.'
I hear Nevada should be done by Saturday and that should end the suspense.
as for huge moves in the markets...these are unusual times yes. Most downside volatility since 2008 I hear. But we all know what happened in 2009. To the moon.
Lol seems to be an issue with Letsrun and my browser (I run Firefox with a sh!t ton of protection and ad-blocks ad-ons).
But also yes
Does the same to me on occasions, did to Gente yesterday.
it does it to me with google chrome, and all I do is hit submit on a post once (and only once). The refresher arrow sits there and spins while the post greys out. I usually highlight and copy the post just in case it doesn't post, but I go open a new browser and open LRC, and operate from there, eventually just closing the original browser (that is still spinning) once the post shows up (which it always does immediately).
The markets are on fiya! Added to some tech positions mostly pre-market. I may be a one trick pony, but I think tech. is the big trend of our lifetime and this is an opportunity that only comes seldomly to get in at price points not seen in maybe a couple of years.
“Wokeness basically wants to make comedy illegal,” Musk said. “Trying to shut down Chappelle, come on, man, that’s crazy. Do we want a humorless society that is simply rife with condemnation and hate basically? At its heart, wokeness is divisive, exclusionary, and hateful. It basically gives mean people a shield to be mean and cruel, armored in false virtue.”
—Elon Musk
Seems appropriately to apply to you.
Appropriate because I’m black?
One day you’re calling Musk two-faced, then the next you’re quoting him like he’s the reincarnation of Thomas Jefferson. I certainly do not consider him an authority on wokeness, but I understand why you do.

I don’t consider you an authority on the current meaning of woke just because you are black.

You mean YOUR meaning. You and your ilk have misappropriated the language of black culture for your own agenda. Please understand that is considered racist. I urge you to rethink your inappropriate use of that word.
Clearly a loaded issue and with DeSantis enacting legislation in Florida - "Stop W.O.K.E. Act" the word and its full meaning is of some importance and significance.
