I would not buy EMD here though, less about the dollar than global economy. Easily see it back under $9.00/share. The best opportunities are shorting most assets, including Treasuries.
Thx. Still feel good about pulling the trigger on that one, should it dip to that level?
Dunno. I set that level way back, more than a year ago I think. It got pretty close last few weeks. For now, it's a hypothetical question. If the price gets below $16k, ask me again then. I'll admit I worry a bit about finding a way to buy BTC directly without either being scammed or holding it through an exchange that might not survive further price gyrations.
Do any of the main regulars in this thread hold BTC or other digital currencies? I don't mean indirectly through GBTC or something similar, but actual digital coins.
Yep I have ETH and some other crappy alt coins. Down about 50%. Worst purchase I ever made. It's easy to transfer your coins to a Ledger for security. But many people stake them on an exchange for rewards.
today was like a revival of the 2Q bear market. Bonds absolutely cratered, losing 4 months of expected return in a day. Stocks not awful but just steady grind down. Let's hope we get through this china saber rattling and get back to recovery.

I was going to say I had a good day as my ETF bet against the S+P500 did well as did many of my stocks.
The Hussman came in where I figured it had to be a positive day based on the S+P 500 drop of 0.67%. Maybe a gain of 0.25% to 0.40%.

But no, Hussman checked in at -0.3%.
What a dog
Take your pick ... they are all clunkers ...
Hussman Strategic Allocation - Minus 0.55%
Hussman Strategic Growth - Minus 0.30%
Hussman Strategic Total Return - Minus 0.64%
Hussman Strategic International fund - Minus 0.13%
Notice a trend? How much strategy is involved in losing every day. They are all clunkers. Avoid at all cost.
EMD up about half as much. Doesn’t signal anything.
Except a good time to short.
It went from12.86 at the beginning of the year down to about $8.43 three weeks ago and is now up to $9.45 currently. You really think it is a good idea to short it now?
