Yep, things headed in the wrong direction at close. Not good. Even my stuff was down a bit today.
EMD closed at 10.15, headed south.
Maybe the economic realities of which many have been in denial are finally starting to hit home. I might stock up on some things like tins of sardines, rice, etc.
I think “sell in May and go away” has started early this year
So, for years it was “don’t fight the Fed.” Do you really believe there is magic in those stocks? Probably two of the worst stocks to buy.
I can think of thousands of worse stocks to buy them GOOG and MSFT.
OK. Two of the biggest stocks that benefitted over the last five years. Not likely to repeat. Perhaps you will get lucky trading them; hold them and you will lose 50%.

Why? GOOG has the lowest PE at 23 in the past five years right now. MSFT at 31 PE seems pretty good too.

Cost of money +, cost of labor +, cost of materials +, demand -, stimulus -, taxes +….
And average historic market PE is 16……at bear market lows, half that…..
Igy idk what you were trying to illustrate with that vid, but those are some alright guys. They’re thinking about important things, and getting some direct experience—and not one of them came off as an a-hole. I would totally have a beer with any of them👍
Yes Racket, the Illuminati sometimes drink beer when among the commoners—but only small-batch microbrew, of course
Noob I have no price advice, IMO that kind of thing is for chartists. I also don’t believe in the numerology that is “fundamentals” like P/E. It is all relative, and all contextual—that is, ask yourself what you hope to achieve, research vehicles, select the best few or one, and get in at a favorable time in the business/monetary/financial/geopolitical/industry cycle.
Would I buy googl or msft NOW, at whatever price they’re at? No how, no way—if only for the fact that they are in so many funds, and the fact that so much investment tied to those things is on margin, while inflation and rates are going haywire. etc, like recession, and trimmed IT and ad budgets. Way too many uncertainties going forward.
Buy when there is blood in the streets, which there currently is not.

And only after having had somebody test it, first.
