This thread was originally titled, "Incredible development in the $612,000 Transcon Goodge run, currently ongoing" but the new title is more descriptive. The description of the run is here.
Where is the unheard of pacing? Go and check out Kostrknick or Lawson on their multidays. They’d leave him for dust. Also don’t just take Will’s word for it. Negative splits are not at all uncommon in multidays. Personally I find the response and behaviour of WG and his crew far more suggestive of dodginess than anything the data has thrown up so far.
Where is Laz? Has anyone contacted him about this? I would assume he would fly out there to observe while giving us some of the topical haiku poetry he became famous for during the Rob Young saga.
laz policy is that he does not get involved in debunking ultra transcon cheating events before they get to Illinois. And also he must be paid with a case of Marlboro Reds. .
What kind of legitimate run results in the runner throwing rocks at observers? Are you serious?
The kind where the runner already has enough stress pushing his limits from slowly plodding across the width of America with an incessantly annoying British asylum patient calling him a fraud every hour?

You got it. The posters on this thread who are regurgitating Willvlc's insanity that Goodge's pacing strategy is somehow never than done or inhuman don't know how to use a calculator or looked at the distribution of running/walking/resting of other runners and assume everyone is one pace.
I guess my questions is why doesn't the dude have a camera or go pro on him at all times? Feels like a pretty easy solution to beating the cheating allegations?

Because Willvlc will then accuse Goodge and his crew, that has filmmakers, of deepfaking the videos.
What is unheard-of, and what you have to explain, is the pattern of pacing. Nobody is talking about Goodge's absolute speed. Why did Goodge show a completely normal pattern (both speed and HR) when Willvic was watching? The other huge thing is, the heart rate is going down while the speed the going up, in the latter parts of the (unwatched) days. Yes, people sometimes negative split, but does their heart rate go down when they do this? And just because this once happened to you doesn't mean that it is not extremely unlikely for it to happen to Goodge for year after year.
We need to look at the full scope of the data. Lots of people are picking one data mode, such as heart rate or pace, and stating that that is not unusual. But when you put it all together, coupled with the team's reaction to Willv, and their failure to offer any explanation, something ain't right.
...because funnily enough, having a camera on you 24/7 would be horrible in an event like this and he probably wants to enjoy it...if I was doing something like that, I'd swerve a permacam.
however, that point about the face coverings, especially when Robbie isn't posting much on Strava is very interesting... I've never seen anyone run with their face covered like that apart from in a Marathon des Sables sandstorm...
I invite everyone to look at yesterday's run. Something happens at mile 30. Note the distinct differences in heart rate while other metrics are the same. And the 2nd 25 miles had about 1,000 ft of elevation. Much worse than the first 25.
How the hell does the 2nd 25 miles of a 50 mile run get so damn easy? Doesn't it get hotter as the day progresses? Don't normal people get tired after 25 miles and not fresher?

That's fine, and transcons in the low-key, enjoy yourself style should frankly be encouraged. But you don't get to parade yourself around as setting a record and promote it all over the internet without also handling the transparency and criticism that come with that. If you make your transcon a public spectacle, that's your fault and you need to deal with the public in a reasonable manner.
If Goodge and his cronies were being as vocal and abusive as Will C is claiming and he doesn't have some sort of footage or recording then he's dropped the ball big time. Maybe not the first time but if he was abused multiple times and didn't have a camera (or at least recording) going then it's a big fail. If he has then it's dream over for Goodge - and if true then he's massive goon.
HR data or not, Bruce Tulloch ran this in 64 days, a runner with a serious pedigree, a sub 14 5km. Goodge has a half PR of 1.24 and a marathon of 3.05. That alone is enough to call BS on this whole thing. Goodge should not be coming anywhere near a Tulloch effort.
If you are claiming to pursue a record of this nature, you should be:
Posting all of the data from the watch
Posting your route, where you currently are (up to the minute GPS), where you are heading for the day
Welcoming anyone and everyone to come out, at any time, to cheer you on as you run by
Welcoming anyone out to run behind you
Welcome to have anyone follow along for as long as they please to verify that you are running, and encouraging them to video record whatever they want
More than happy to have an observer with no relation to you or your team embedded in the team to record everything they see
If you really are pursing this record and think you have a chance at it, you want all the eyes on you possible, to verify that you did it, to quiet the doubters, and so on.

Given the potato quality photos Will C uploaded to the Facebook page in the current post and before (that were deleted), I doubt Will C has any photo or video evidence of anything. You certainly wouldn't be able to make anything out in a Will C photo given how blurry and low resolution they are. It would be like looking at photos and videos of Bigfoot.

To those who are late to the party and can’t wade through the whole thread, where can we find this runners’s progress? Where is he sharing info? and are they really only sharing distance and heart rate? Where are the maps and routes he’s running?
I’m a confused American here but it sounds like this whole thing needs to end like Rob Young’s thing ended.
Answered some of my own question. he has some promo content in his Instagram. Flashy with little substance. From his Instagram he also has a page with links including one to a map/tracker. He’s current near Tulsa Oklahoma. Wasn’t it in Kansas where Rob Young’s scheme came apart?
RossiCheated is bang on point. Promoting brands and getting sponsored, even going down the "it's for charity, leave us alone" route, is fine, nobody cares, raise some $. Drink your CBD drinks, ads for the various companies and NuCalm, trundle across the States. People wouldn't get excited, even on this forum. BUT, and to me it's a big but, if you're claiming records (if only the Englishman record, noting Kostelnick's run and Lees too) and 'pretending' to run the distances and routes faster than Bruce Tulloh then there has to be a framework of rules. You make claims: you abide by those rules and not start throwing rocks at people who question you.

If you want to follow his stats daily, here's his Strava profile:
There are those that are putting all of their belief that this is a fraud (ala Rob Young) solely because of his HR data. The fact is he has multiple cameras during all of his runs. The other fact is that WC witnessed him covering all of the miles over multiple days. Too many reputations would be ruined if he was "faking" this. I'm a believe in building people up and not trying to tear them down (or destroy their mojo in the middle of a journey. But, there are those on this page that simply believe...HR data bad...he must be a fraud.
