BASF...😡😡😡😡
Now the CEO is out blathering about what everyone should already know, that the Germans NEED Russian oil and gas. REALLY? Genius. Just STFU and work behind the scenes.
OR this suggests that German politicians and negotiators who matter are actually total morons, something even I find difficult to believe. If that is in fact true, there goes not just Germany, but all of Europe.
High times! Should I risk staying in BASF, betting on a reasonable solution? I think so.
Too much brinksmanship happening from mollycoddled utopians who have no experience in the real world. The basic situation is the shlts, and has been for a while. What is happening now is but a symptom, the real crisis is one of character—the character of an entire pan-European political class—and it’s been happening for a very long time.
Much of Europe was a great place to spend a life of childhood. Now they have to grow up, and fast. I’ve stopped answering the Euro phone, I have idiots calling me from Germany, Austria, France, Denmark, and Holland, trying to find out what went wrong. They have always thought that I was “on their side”, only because I have been very gentle with them, because I have always considered them child-like innocents. There used to be a certain charm to it, but I think that’s now done.
BTW anybody else watching Ferrante’s “My Brilliant Friend”?
