Hi you guys, I haven't been following the market lately. My Roth went from 64k to 57k back to 64k in two months. I didn't make any trades. I'm now green with MSFT and almost green with Google. I'm up 20% with AAPL and down 5% with FB. Kinda want to exit my individual stocks and index. Any advice?
Bear market rally, consider it a gift from market gods that will vanish shortly, perhaps in days or hours.
I kinda have that feeling. Was there any reason the market went up so much this month?
It happens that way in a bear market. Strong rally, sucks investors back in before the next leg lower. It is process, that will likely continue well into 2023. The Wild Rumpus is alive and well.

What's good to invest in now? Holding cash is bad right?

Remember when the Fed started raising rates again and unwinding the balance sheet in 2015 and it plunged the economy into a deep recession from which we never recovered?
Oh wait, what's that? The next 5 years saw absolutely legendary returns in the stock market you say? Raising rates turned out to not be as big of a deal as everyone thought?

Igy, have you EVER been optimistic about the market? I mean have you EVER said anything positive about the market or is it always doom and gloom?

Flabbergasted I am.
And the Fed balance sheet went from $4.3 Trillion to $9 Trillion. Inflation is just transitory. 😹
Sold my GOOGL position in the green. I didn't like my average. Hope I can get out of FB and VTI in the green.
FB -3.37%
VTI -1.64%
MSFT +2.47%
AAPL +22%
I also had 14.6k worth of VTI in my taxable account which I sold in the green this morning. It dipped below 13k at one point this year. I'm glad I got out because we're expecting a baby this year. The extra cash will come in handy while on leave.
