I, for one, am happy to see the collapse of Netflix, Facebook, Uber, Snowflake, Roku, Chewy, etc. -- all down ~50%. These companies need to go bankrupt. One of them is literally a recreation of the infamous Pets.com from the DotCom Bubble.

The narrative today is always technology as if it is magic, even though the company use of technology is negligible or incidental. Attached to the company story to boost the stock price; no different than attaching a dot com to the company name during the internet bubble. Both CNBC and Bloomberg have hour segments daily devoted to the sector. Why? It sells stocks, and thus advertising. Crypto is doing the same. You’ll know your at the bottom when it fades, and the enthusiasm turns to anger.
Actually, all the people unblocked are still left.
Blocking this turd who has done nothing but harass sine 2015. There are plenty of people that disagree with me, and throw shade. I have no problem with that. It is the craziness and malice that will be blocked. This poster would be well served by seeking professional help.
Had a random thought today. If someone had sold to open an option in the Russian market etf that is expiring during the freeze, what would happen? I didn't short the index myself, but curious about it because I imagine there must be someone out there who was ambitious enough to short it

The RSX ETF traded all last week on a theoretical value. Not sure about the validity of that. It looks like trading in the ETF was halted along with options following market close Friday.
Exchange operator Cboe Global Markets on Friday declared a regulatory halt in trading on the VanEck Russia ETF , which has tumbled since Russia's invasion of Ukraine last week.
With limited series like “The Dropout,” “WeCrashed” and “Super Pumped,” the culture is saturated with ripped-from-the-headlines tales of self-immolating moguls.

You have something against a company selling pet food online?
well, boys I'm going to take an internet break, I hope.
I've been living on a nerve's end for a few weeks and the constant barrage of agitation is starting to get to me. Just for a week or so. I might post up now and then but I need a break, mostly.
Good luck to you all this week - nutso trying to be normal when the market could gap up or down 5% on - and this is the thing - PREDICTABLE news. I think the high vix is just PMs saying 'I want my longs because business is so good but I want some extra protection in case the war spills over.' So they pay up for the puts and don't mind losing money because it's insurance.
I'd probably do something like that if puts weren't beyond my intelligence level.

You literally blocked someone for stating that dividend reinvestment was a valuable tool for wealth growth.
Boise area unleaded up to $4.15 from $3.65 in less than a week.
Oil prices and gasoline are not 100% correlated. CA is still an oil producing state but Needles, CA for some reason, gasoline now is greater than $6/per gallon.

Other factors besides price of oil:
1) Distance from nearest oil refinery;
2) type of oil;
3) taxes on gasoline;
4) local and regional supply & demand;
5) additives mandated.
Brent $129.19
NY Crude $125.13
If a large corporation or billionaire doesn't mind taking delivery, oil may be under valued. I don't see anything stopping oil from going to $160/barrel.
