As if it’s hard to learn that US-NATO (which hasn’t been needed for 30 years now) perpetual antagonization toward Russia isn’t the root cause of this Ukraine invasion. Read some pre-Feb 2022 history, man.
“Antagonization”? Ha. Russia continually attacks former Soviet republics on its border, therefore former Soviet republics join NATO. Maybe if Russia was a corrupt sh*thole whose goal is to recreate the failed Soviet Union, NATO wouldn’t have expanded. Learn some pre-Feb 2022 history, man.
I can't recall Russia continually attacking Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia or Finland. Russia wanted to join NATO in 2000, but was denied.
To those who do not understand: to legitimize a huge military spending and military alliances you have to have a clear enemy. Russia has been chosen for this role by the West and has been continuosly threatened by NATO expansion towards Russian borders. Naturally, they have to respond and NATO is happy about it, since they can make the Western media report about the "enemy aggresion" and therefore demand money from taxpayers.
If I find out where you live, show up right by your property and taunt you, I'm sure eventually you will come out with a baseball bat or a gun, which will make you an "aggressor" :)

Can you recall them attacking Georgia? How about Moldova? Or, Chechnya? Or, Ukraine? Note, I didn’t say they attacked EVERY former Soviet Republic (just the ones not in NATO). Which, only goes to show the need for NATO to prevent countries from getting attacked by Russia.
Nobody have a rat’s ass about Russia for the last 20 years because everybody knows they’re an insignificant nobody on the world stage. They’re a former superpower trying to stay relevant. NATO didn’t need to make them a clear enemy - but now they’ve painted themselves as an aggressive terrorist state. NATO is stronger because of Russia’s actions in Ukraine.
And, what did Russia get in return? An absolutely devastated economy. I encourage everyone to read at least the highlights of the linked analysis:
As the Russian invasion of Ukraine enters into its fifth month, a common narrative has emerged that the unity of the world in standing up to Russia has somehow devolved into a “war of economic attrition which is taking its toll on the west”, given the supposed “resilience” and even “prosperity” of the Russian economy. This is simply untrue – and a reflection of widely held but factually incorrect misunderstandings over how the Russian economy is actually holding up amidst the exodus of over 1,000 global companies and international sanctions.
- Russia’s strategic positioning as a commodities exporter has irrevocably deteriorated, as it now deals from a position of weakness with the loss of its erstwhile main markets, and faces steep challenges executing a “pivot to Asia” with non-fungible exports such as piped gas
- Despite some lingering leakiness, Russian imports have largely collapsed, and the country faces stark challenges securing crucial inputs, parts, and technology from hesitant trade partners, leading to widespread supply shortages within its domestic economy
- Despite Putin’s delusions of self-sufficiency and import substitution, Russian domestic production has come to a complete standstill with no capacity to replace lost businesses, products and talent; the hollowing out of Russia’s domestic innovation and production base has led to soaring prices and consumer angst
- Putin is resorting to patently unsustainable, dramatic fiscal and monetary intervention to smooth over these structural economic weaknesses, which has already sent his government budget into deficit for the first time in years and drained his foreign reserves even with high energy prices – and Kremlin finances are in much, much more dire straits than conventionally understood
- Russian domestic financial markets, as an indicator of both present conditions and future outlook, are the worst performing markets in the entire world this year despite strict capital controls, and have priced in sustained, persistent weakness within the economy with liquidity and credit contracting – in addition to Russia being substantively cut off from international financial markets, limiting its ability to tap into pools of capital needed for the revitalization of its crippled economy

I remember the US attacking Iraq, Iran, Afganistan. I also rememmber Russia backing South Ossetia and Abkhazia to be independent from Georgia. Another thing in my memory is how Islamist fighters from Chechnya infiltrated Russia's Dagestan region, declaring it an independent state and calling for holy war. Either way, Russia has not done anything, the US has not done before.
Ukraine is oppressing their Russian-Speaking people, while inviting Russian enemy - NATO - to it's doorstep. Also, over 90% of Crimeans are basically Russians living in Ukraine, they simple "came home".
As far as Russia not being relevant on the world map: Europe is having one of the biggest inflations in its history, governments are calling for saving electricity and gas. Gas literally costs double now and Russia has not even closed the pipeline yet. Europe will last 2 years max. not being friends with Russia, then West Europeans will gladly give up Ukraine and even Lithuania and Poland if needed, just so they can live their lifes how they used to before.
And especially for you, once again:
"If I find out where you live, show up right by your property and taunt you, I'm sure eventually you will come out with a baseball bat or a gun, which will make you an "aggressor" :)

So, US actions in Iraq justify Russia invading Ukraine? No, of course not. That’s like saying Russia’s actions in Georgia justify the US invading Russia or Switzerland.
The only reason there are Russian’s in Crimea is because they killed all the Crimean Taters that lived there back in the 40s.
No, I won’t “come out with a baseball bat or a gun” if you taunt me, because I’m not a violent thug like you. I may call the police and let them deal with you though.
Russia is going to be nonexistent in two years if this war is still going on. I know you and your friends are weak and can’t handle a little adversity, but every European I know is full on supporting Ukraine and pushing for more sanctions and support for Ukraine.

Not trying to justify anything, just pointing out hypocricy. People who were silent then, have no moral superiority to open their mouths and point fingers now.
Yes, most Crimea tatars were deported to Uzbek SSR in the 40s, but Crimea itself has always been a passing land. It also used to belong to Mongols, then Ottoman Empire and was prospering at the time thanks to frequent raids into Russia for slaves. In 1700s Ottoman Empire was defeated by the Empress of Russia and belonged to Russia until it was ilegally gifted to Ukraine by Khrushchev in the 1950s.
Another genocide of the indigenous I seem to recall is the one that happened in the US. And slavery was also a topic, wasn't it. That's what history is - the strong deafting the weak. And while we might not like it, that's how nature works to this day, the strong and powerful take away from weak and powerless.
You may call the police, but on the world map there is no police. Only countries and alliances. The US wants to be the police, but acts more like a thug or mafia. Russia is taking care of things its own way.
My friend, you may seem to know a European or two, but I live in Europe and know what's going on here, as this is my life and I am confronted with European reality daily. Remember that, Russia always has existed and will exist, regardless of what you wish. Why? Because it has all the natural resources it needs and unbreakable spirit, which Western Europeans seem to lack. I am betting you a house on a lake, that Russia will exist longer than European Union. Italy just had their government collapsed and Hungarian prime minister already went to Moscow to negotiate, as "it is not their war". Two cold winters is what it will take to break Western European spirit.
Russian soldiers caught on video castrating a Ukrainian prisoner of war. Verified reports of torture, starvation and summary executions at Russian filtration camps. War crimes being commited by both sides, don't forget to report on that.
Good that Western trash like McDonalds left Russia, this creates space for Russian businesses. Maybe this way Russia finally will learn to produce quality products.
It’s HIMARS o’clock in Ukraine. Be careful where you stand.
I don't see why Russia shouldn't use their Smerch to attack big cities like Kiev if they already are being attacked by Himars. If Ukraine wants to fight with big boy weapons, they should expect big boy treatment :)

Everybody knows that Russia can knock down civilian buildings and kill the people they claim to be saving (i.e., commit war crimes). What they can't due is accurately strike military targets. HIMARs give Ukraine the ability to conduct precision strikes and then not become targets themselves. Russia has no comparable ability. I know that difference is hard to understand.

For recent evidence of the above:

What military targets? Entire Ukrainian military infrastracture has been destroyed in March already.
For the past months Ukrainians are conducting their fights from civilian buildings, therefore civilians die if such building gets fired at. Also Ukrainian military forces are the ones not allowing Ukrainian civilians to evacuate, usingt them as humand shield, which makes it harder for Russians to attack.
Maybe if Ukraine begins using Himars, it's time for Russia to start using Smerch on the cities instead of trying to eliminate fighters.
Please stop posting here, since you know nothing about Ukraine.

Anybody who cites TASS should be permanently banned. Man, you just parrot every false claim the Russian media makes.
Just realize that you’re advocating for Russia to commit EVEN MORE war crimes simply because they can’t defend against HIMARs. Maybe it’s time for Putin to admit this “special military operation” was a catastrophic failure and give himself a terminal case of lead poisoning.
Please stop posting here because you’re clueless about Ukraine and Russia, which is extra embarrassing as you claim to be from Ukraine.

Or, if Putin is dethroned and there’s a power struggle that causes Russia to split apart. Or, as you said, Putin gets desperate and starts lobby nukes like the psychotic toddler that he is.
