Anyone buying AMZN dip? Or waiting for earnings?
Anyone buying AMZN dip? Or waiting for earnings?

Anyone think FB looks like a good buy today? I guess I do.
Why? The P/E? Subscriber base is worrisome.
Such a big name, down so much. It is tempting.

I’m just not excited about AMZN. It seems old and stodgy now. Seems to me like it has squeezed what bs “innovation” it can from its basic business, and is now having to deal with classic business stuff like unions.
I wonder if it could ever be seriously profitable. It might need to really rationalize operations.
As a trade, that’s different. Roll the dice!

Big dip. Big plans for world domination. Building a combination of Big Brother and the Borg. I want me a piece of that. :-)
I bought me some. Only single publicly-traded stock holding in our portfolio now.

Issue really is market dominance by mega cap growth and their inability to continue to grow faster than a market multiple. Eventually they collapse under their own weight. More of this to come.
Look at tsla leading the day😂.
AMZN down 6.66% now.
Idiot I am tempted to take a flyer on META like I did on TSLA last year, but the story isn’t hood. Buying tokens? Making money gaming? A one-stop digital identity shop I can see, but with concentration comes vulnerability.
IMO it will take lots of capex for acquisitions. If you believe in META you should also look at its potential targets.
They will have lots of niche competition in this quest for dominance, and there is the chance that they will spread themselves too thinly.
Yes they have a tremendous political “in”, which they will need to lean on, hard. I would base a buy mostly on that relationship, about which I admittedly know essentially nothing.
IMO
FANG in freefall.
Turn those machines back on!!😂
Lean into the collapsing narrative….
Of course, I haven’t bought META. Yet. I have given a taste of the type of stuff I have been buying.
That P/E’s not bad, though😁
is it a win if the market is down 180 bps and I'm down 100?
Do I get rich this way?

Amazon released earnings a minute ago and now up 15% off session low and climbing.
I was really tempted to sell some before the announcement but didn't because it has so much negative sentiment factored into the price for a couple of quarters now at least.
Glad I didn't.
Hope it spills over to the Nasdaq 100 and SNP tomorrow.

You better hope it isn't like deja vu all over again.

Nooo!
I didn;t touch it. I owned a lot and let it ride, hoping for some good news, which it delivered.
Here's the thing - if you stick with the market leaders, you have less risk letting them ride when they stall for a period, which Amazon did. Big time.
It's almost uncanny. When one of the major techs lags a bit, it is only a matter of time until it swings back.
That said, I never much favored not invested in Facebook. I didn't like its revenue stream, too limited for my likings. I have only a token amount, currently underwater.
* but point well taken that the conference call is critical in that forward looking projections are ventured, and stock can move massively based on that.

You're not out of the woods yet. If they don't confirm or increase guidance for next quarter and Year 2022 during the conference call, stock price will take a hit.

Please tank. Everyone scared me so I didn't buy :(
I wonder if this amazon blowout will trigger some short covering in the COVID stocks - clearly people stayed home and spent money in COVID fashion.
People had left those stocks for dead but maybe they have some life in them.
Maybe buying ARKK as a trade might be a good idea.
