It’s gotta be a mix of other teams running in the northeast too. Northeast has great teams, courses, and meets. Would love to see kids from other regions take a crack at Holmdel.
Many top California teams are already scheduled to race out of state races. Jason Parra and Millikan went to race there last year and did quite well.
Millikan graduated Parra, but ironically, they are looking to do better than last year, because Parra is the only scorer they are losing. They are looking to qualify for the state meet which they didn’t do last year.

Great Oak CA - Great American, NC
Jesuit CA - Portland, OR
Traduce Hills CA - Desert Twilight, AZ
Saugus CA - Bob Firman, ID
Oaks Christian CA - Hole in the Wall, WA
20 California teams are already scheduled to be racing at Portland, OR alone (and probably many more because over half of the teams have not created their schedule yet). Hopefully more Northwest teams will come and race us at our home courses as well and it's not just a one way thing
Jesuit CA and Jesuit OR will be racing each other there
BATTLE OF THE JESUITS. This is hype. If La Jesuit can get in there b4 the team crashes and burns it will be super cool. Maybe throw Belen Jesuit or Brebeuf Jesuit and it would be super fun to watch a bunch of rich white Christian Jesuit kids battle it out.

It sounds lame but I am hyped to watch one jesuit beat another jesuit
There are a lot of La Sallian schools. Many of the Christian Brothers schools and most La Salle schools are from the same group of schools. The northeast has 3 pretty prominent XC teams in La Salle of RI, La Salle of PA and CBA of NJ.

Jesuit LA might still be around for a couple of years because the returners will probably use what they learned from Doody.
Brebeuf Jesuit Prep was the best in the Midwest in 2021 but they started going downhill ever since Krishna graduated. Last fall they didn’t even make state, and now they are losing their best runner in school history and some other seniors.

It would be sad that Brefeuf was failing if it were not for the fact they recruited from public schools.

I haven’t heard about anyone ever being recruited to Brebeuf Jesuit Prep. And 2021 was the only year they were considered a “nationally elite” team
