Sports media has typically operated under a ‘one and done’ model: focus on women’s sports during high-profile events, before returning to routine coverage of men.
The WNBA will show 36 of the Indiana Fever's 40 games on its national broadcast and streaming partners, starting with the season opener at Connecticut on May 14. Last season, the Fever had only 22 of their games shown nationa...
They would be brain dead not to. Did you see the promo the Phoenix Mercury put out for when they host the Fever? They are working hard trying to create a rivalry between Clark and Taurasi as to who the real GOAT is. 😂
I was hoping the pressure on Clark would ease a bit in the W, but that doesn't appear so. I hope she is one of those people who can deal with that pressure for extended periods. This year seemed crazy enough. Best of luck to her.
South Carolina coach Dawn Staley has met plenty of noteworthy celebrities during her national championship run with the Gamecocks. Few have gotten the response from Staley as the note of congratulations she received from the...
So the LSU Super team lost for the second time, and this one is much worse than the first. (Auburn was 0-3 in SEC before the game.)
Am I the only one who thinks this team simply does not have good enough team chemistry to be great?
How is the Van Lith girl this season? I know that she has a mega social media following and makes really good NIL coin by female athlete standards. I don't know as much about her actual game skills though other than she was a big shot in high school.
HVL has a new home now. I don't know what she is looking for. But best of luck to her.

I guess she wants to be a big fish again. Should have stayed at Louisville then.
In other news, cool to see that Iowa picked up Lucy Olsen to help fill the planet sized hole left from Clark's departure. Thats a serious pick up. Number 3 scorer in the country last season. I guess they also have some decent recruits coming in including a top ten guard so maybe theyll still hold their own in the Big Ten next season and have a bit more size starting O'Grady and Stuelke at the same time. And I think Affolter could really have a break out year.

Has Indiana picked up anyone yet? Either way they should be the favorite.
So WNBA in 2023 had a higher average viewership than NHL in 2023-24.
The WNBA regular season averaged 505,000 viewers across ESPN, ABC and CBS, up 21% from last season (379K) and the league’s highest average since 2002...
NHL regular season games averaged 504,000 viewers across ABC, ESPN and TNT, up 8% from last year and the most-watched season since 2015-16 on NBC and NBCSN (505K).
