NATO estimates tremendous russian losses. Not sure exactly how RU keeps advancing here. Soon it will run out of missiles. I'm sure it's putting 50 year old unmaintained vehicles into service - those won't last on the battlefield.
WSJ:
NATO estimates Russia may have lost as much as one-fifth of its combat forces in about a month of fighting in Ukraine as President Biden and alliance leaders gather in Brussels for a summit to discuss providing further support to Kyiv to repel the Russian invasion. Up to 40,000 Russian troops have been killed, wounded, taken prisoner or are missing in Ukraine, said a senior military official from the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. Russia may also have lost 10% of its equipment, impairing Moscow’s ability to maintain its pace of operations, said another NATO official.

40,000 casualties... LOL!
russia (maybe, according to a possibly accurate leak) says 10,000 dead and 16,000 wounded. so that's 26,000. As of some days ago.
Another 14,000 POWs and AWOLs doesn't seem crazy. All those abandoned vehicles used to have soldiers in them...those boys have run for the hills.
You cannot provoke a world power on it's own borders for decades and then be stunned when they respond.
The US tried to start a nuclear war for less.
I'm old enough to remember when conservatives were happy to support nations trying to provide freedom to their citizens in the face of tyranny.
Give an example, "comrade." I'll spot you Guatemala, hah hah... You're such an idiotic left / right / left fanboy you appatently have no idea that U.S. imperialism doesn't actually work that way... Huhhhh?
Tell us about Viet Nam - Ike thru Ford - tell us about the Dominican Republic 1965-66.(LBJ)... We could go on.
If Russia had lost that many fighting men, Russia would have withdrawn all troops and called the whole thing off or bomb Ukraine so badly, Ukraine would be like the surface of our moon.

I'm not saying US support of nations yearning to be free actually results in free folks 100% of the time. I'm saying US conservatives used to cheer on Davids against communist/fascist goliaths.
Most conservatives probably still do. Even if it means they have to root against ethno-Christian, anti-woke forces. But many have decided that they like goliath better than David.
Examples? Will WW2, Korea, first gulf war and Vietnam work for you?
I'm not going to go full-throat defense of US war policy of course. It's not always....correct or effective.

7500-15,000 dead. Another 25,000 “missing” AWOL or captured. Seems right.
