I don't know what my YTD return is because I've rolled over my 401k and opened and closed so many accounts. Got caught chasing meme stocks, crypto etc. But I'm pretty sure I didn't best the S&P, which is why I threw everything else into VTI.

If there is deflation as measured by the gov, Ibonds at zero will still be ahead because they will never drop below zero.
Best-case scenario for ibonds would be serious deflation, as long as the USD held value.
The lack of state tax is also beneficial for those of us who live in such states, and who actually pay tax.
For me, because you can get out easily and because the purchases are limited, it’s an easy call. Would dump in much more, right now, if I could.

Oh Snap you childish obsessed Troll.
Somebody’s triggered! 🤡
Well, cold weekend coming here—looks like I will actually use a treadmill😮.
I will see if I can find enough good music to bang out an hour. Frostbite might still be preferable.
Maybe just a 10k, then some intervals to keep it interesting. Ugh
Futures up slightly. Off to bank to take care of some EOY gifting, then will try a workout in the cold. Idiot yeah heat is nice, but not if it comes with rain. It is warmer at our lake place, but usually cloudy in winter. When we ski, we can look down on the cloud deck!
Was thinking last year about buying some AZ RE, but didn’t because our situation had not settled. Still thinking about it, going to wait for rates to rise and hopefully prices to fall, after their big gain this year.
Anybody on here live in AZ, esp Phoenix or Flagstaff?
Yesterday I shoveled snow for about three hours. Not straight, in three sessions. Neighbor couple’s driveway too. The husband has Parkinson’s; he is a few years older than me. He used to enjoy shoveling snow; the first one out on a snowy morning. Those days are done for him. I am tired, but not sore. We have another 2-4 inches predicted today. I am out to do some grocery shopping, then back to shoveling.

Miss Texas? Been in the 70s and 80s most of this month. Just gassed up at $2.59 a gal, going later to buy some large avocados at 97 cents each.
Well boys I got the virus. Woke up coughing and with a scratchy throat. Did an at-home test and I'm knocked up. I mean I have COVID.
I've had three shots so this should be mild.
Just feels like a regular cold/flu so far - the sort of thing I'd normally take a day off running for and then be fine the next day or two.
My big regret is that I was aiming at a big race in 10 days. have to find another one I guess.
In my big blue city this thing is absolutely endemic. It's just everywhere. Crazeballs stuff. City functions are going to start shutting down, I suspect.
Sorry to hear that, agip, but not surprised. It is friggin’ everywhere right now. Hoping for the best for you.
I was exposed, but tested negative. Will be getting tested again soon, to be sure. No symptoms here. Thankful to be boosted.
Meh. You’re healthy, I assume. Everybody will get it, no big. I was shocked when we tested negative in europe.
Why did you get a test?
Check out TCEHY and especially BABA today. 🇨🇳
Megadose Vit D, C, Zinc and magnesium glycinate at night, melatonin at night. Black seed oil.
Where do you think you got it Agip?
I should say, a bunch of people we know in France got it, all via their kids, from grade school to university. Nobody had anything other than the mildest of symptoms.

Not clear...I wasn't in any party type situations.
If I had to guess, in an elevator at home or work.
Small, unventilated spaces where virus can hang out in the air waiting for a new home.
Get well soon, and fully, Agip.,
We 'have dodged that bullet so far, but I certainly have no shortage of medical stuff to keep me busy these days(since posting about the A-fib a few days ago, got a phone call to come in and talk about a paacemaker).
For those asking, you can get in home Covid test kits off of Amazon, We got one round fairly quickly but our second set is a bit longer lead time.... checking... showing a 2-week delivery time for orders placed now.
Get well soon agip. Too bad on the race. Daughter and son-in-law had Covid early in the year. They were good in a couple of days.

God bless Texas as they say. Lady walking past my back yard in snow shoes as I read your post. I hung up a lot of Christmas lights on 80 degree days. My all time favorite grocery store is HEB. Miss the Ruby Red grapefruit and Pan Frances cookies. I may be back in Texas mid-February. Four of my women’s cross country teams are being inducted into the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley Hall of Fame.
https://imgur.com/a/5TQBRSqMy assistant coach Doug Erickson those years and also a former athlete of mine (2:19 marathoner 2nd Dallas White Rock) passed away several months ago (diabetes). Really tragic he won’t be there. He spent numerous holidays at our house. He was track coach at Edinburg Economedes High School.
Get well agip!
Did a snowshoe run today, my first ever. It was invigorating! Maybe I don’t hate winter quite as much as I think. Funny, I grew up with snowshoes, and used them to set snares for rabbits as a kid, and I e run for at least 45 years, but never before combined the two. We bough running snowshoes, which made it relatively “easy,” meaning I was “running” the way I did from 3500 m elevation in the Andes a dozen years ago. If you filmed it and played it back at double speed, it would resemble awkward running. 😀
Son has done some backcountry skiing with skins on telemark skis. One of my running friends is a top U.S. female distance runner and mostly cross country skis in the winter.
Just finished the neighbors shoveling; another neighbor’s son helped me. We polished it off in an hour, with an hour on my place, tired enough. Ready for a shower.
Short Wall Street session New Year’s Eve.

Get well agip. Kind of $ucks, looks like you were in good form, but remember Zatopek and Lopes.
