That's crazy.
I know lots of people 60+ who want nothing to do with the vaxx and their health is fine.
They are the minority but way bigger than 3%.
We are talking UK here. The UK's own numbers say that 97% of their 60+ population is vaccinated. That data is right from their official government link that was provided earlier.
I showed the math using US numbers... 1.4 million Americans are in hospice and the average age is about 73. 1.4 million of the 79-ish million Americans age 60+ is about 2%. I just assumed the terminally ill percentages and ages were in the same ballpark.
Now, follow me... 97% of UK 60+ are vaxxed, according to their own official data. That leaves only 3% of the 60+ population unvaxxed. That's simple math. What percent of the total 60+ population is so sick they can't take the vaccine? It can't be more than 3%, obviously if 97% are vaccinated.
In the US, about 2% of the over 60 population is terminally ill and thus on palliative care... no vaccines.
So pick a percentage. If it's 2% as I assumed, then 67% of the remaining 3% are so sick their doctors don't want them to get the vaccine. If it's 1%, that's still 33% of the remaining 3%.
The mortality rate of these sick seniors could be high enough to skew the death rate of the unvaccinated higher.
I've provided numbers to illustrate my position. My position is that the unvaccinated 60+ population in the UK is sicker than the vaccinated 60+ cohort and that sickness (including terminal illness) could be enough to make seem that the lack of the vaccine is responsible for the higher excess death rate in the unvaccinated 60+ cohort.
This is a reasonable hypothesis because it's backed up by math. If you have a source that directly addresses my concerns and refutes my position, I'd be glad to take a look at it.
