Niwot’s #1 and #2 runners from NXN didn’t race the 3200 at all this season, but the ran very well in the 800/1600. They finished first and second in state in both events, finishing ahead of some very fast runners. Those two finished 9th and 10th in the NXN team score last year. In addition to those two they return 6 who have run equivalent (when adjusting for altitude) around 9:20 or faster. So they have around 8 who are around 9:20 or faster. That’s pretty solid.

dude why are you even bothering trying to explain to him why niwot is better than cba. when you get 5th at nxn above cba in 2023 and return everyone, plus more, you are automatically better
I'm thinking that NXN could very well be a rematch of last year.
Herriman loses their top 4 but still return 9:12/9:12/9:20/9:34/9:49/9:56
American Fork loses 6 of their top 9, but still manage to return 8:46/9:19/9:24/9:31/9:31/9:50
American Fork also has a transfer from San Clemente who ran at NXN twice and ran a 9:21 in track.
Herriman is adding a 15:34 (at NXR) transfer from Skyridge, and maybe another one who ran a 9:06 at Arcadia. In a few weeks there will be a time trial that Soles organizes every summer. That should give an idea how this team will look

At NXN, Niwot had the second fastest sophomore (Culpepper) and second fastest freshman (Sullivan)
The first number is the average 3200 meter time of the top 5 returning runners in the stateCalifornia - 8:50 Oregon - 8:51 Colorado - 8:53 Washington - 8:54 Texas - 8:55 Utah - 8:57 Iowa - 8:57 Massachusetts - 8:58 Florida -...
that's a big hit for the south region but they still have SLC, Austin Vandegrift, Bentonville.
At NXR, Vandegrift will look for revenge and try to autoqualify after not getting a bid last year. If they sign up for Woodbridge, they better get in to the sweepstakes race this time
please race somewhere else outside of northeast all season. maybe race against belen jesuit
It’s gotta be a mix of other teams running in the northeast too. Northeast has great teams, courses, and meets. Would love to see kids from other regions take a crack at Holmdel.
Everyone misses the real exercise of NXN. Herriman was not the best team going into the meet. They won because they raced well on that day in those conditions. Soles and his boys prepared well and fixed mistakes they had at NXR. AF handled them at NXR. If they have NXN a week after NXR, I am guessing they don't win and AF does. Bottom line: there will be a few teams with a good chance this year. How it plays out will depend on how each team handles NXN and everything that comes with it.

Many top California teams are already scheduled to race out of state races. Jason Parra and Millikan went to race there last year and did quite well.

Great Oak CA - Great American, NC
Jesuit CA - Portland, OR
Traduce Hills CA - Desert Twilight, AZ
Saugus CA - Bob Firman, ID
Oaks Christian CA - Hole in the Wall, WA
20 California teams are already scheduled to be racing at Portland, OR alone (and probably many more because over half of the teams have not created their schedule yet). Hopefully more Northwest teams will come and race us at our home courses as well and it's not just a one way thing
