Thats not true. Russia is essentially fighting the US. That is why they are having trouble is because they've had to deal with US weapons. Whats scary is that the Russians seem to be learning from their strategic errors faster than we do. So if this escalated, they would be better prepared. In Afghanistan, the US fought dudes in caves with AK47s. It would be quite nightmarish to go against Russia or China.
Didn't another Russian general get killed this week? Yes, carmine. Many Russia generals have been killed in Ukraine. No, the fact that American generals have not been killed in 40 years does not change that fact.
Not correct. Two US Army Generals have been killed in the last 20 years; Lt. Gen. Maude and Maj. Gen. Greene.
It's an apples-to-oranges comparison.
American Generals generally have 25+ years experience and are rarely close to action.
Russia has about twice the number of Generals, on average they are less experienced (aka expendable), and are often deployed in theatre.
reports coming out from Eastern UKR that suggest RU artillery fire has dramatically reduced the last couple of days. Blowing up ammo dumps might be working already. And I have a near-zero percent confidence that the RU military can make solve this problem.
Good news!
ISW repeatedly states Russian forces are in "operational pause" to regroup and rebuild, with the Ukraine side doing likewise.
No doubt the Russian forces need the pause to replenish their fertilizer supplies.

You believe that double figure Russian Generals have been killed in the past 4.5 months?
I don't believe it.
How do you know that "Russia has about twice the number of Generals, on average they are less experienced (aka expendable), and are often deployed in theatre."?

I don't mean to split hairs, but neither of these generals was killed as the result of direct combat. Lt. Gen Maude died at the Pentagon on September 11, 2001. Maj, Gen. Green was killed when a member of the Afghan National Army opened fire on a delegation of general officers and other dignitaries who were conducting an inspection tour at Camp Qargha, Afghanistan.

I believe that between 4 (which is number of Russian generals that Russia has confirmed have been killed in Ukraine - Andrey Sukhovetsky, Vladimir Frolov, Kanamat Botashev, and Roman Kutuzov) and 10 (which is the number of Russian generals the Ukraine claims to have killed) Russian generals have been killed. You are free to provide evidence that the number is less than 4, but you'll have to prove the one of the listed men is still alive.
1.) Ahhaa, thats exactly my point. Your bogus stats about the breakdown of the 14k people killed was also pulled from something you found on the internet. That doesnt make it true.
2.) You sound like the same person as MoarDeadRuskis. The way you write suggests youre American and you married a Ukrainian girl, which explains a lot about your views. Youre too biased and you cannot be trusted to speak calmly and reasonably on this subject.
What is it, three, maybe four days later and you've not been able to provide any sources that dispute the numbers that were posted? Even Carmine posted things that back up the wikipedia numbers.
The way you write suggests you're a poorly paid Russian troll who was deemed too incompetent to serve as cannon fodder in Ukraine. You're too uneducated and cannot be trusted to speak reasonably on any topic.
p.s. Not that it matters, but I didn't marry a Ukrainian girl. Not that it changes that fact that every dead Russian soldier is one step closer to peace in Ukraine, peace in Europe, and peace on earth.
This bait-and-switch demand of yours is futile. If I or Carmine share sources, you claim they are bogus. If you share wikipedia, that is not reputable either.
Neither of us were permanent residents of eastern ukraine between 2014 to 2022 so it really is an unreliable opinion.
The fact that you keep repeating over and over again with narrow, war-hawkish tunnel vision "one step closer..." would actually bring the world NOT closer to peace, but closer to WWIII and a nuclear exchange.
Why not be open to negotiation and diplomatic solutions? Wouldnt you agree that the fastest way to peace in this conflict would be a deal that is satisfactory to both sides?

Because the US is not interested in peace. They make huge profit from basically every war and would also gladly have the EU and Russia done and wasted.
I will never believe that the US genuinely cares about Ukraine. Americans don't even care about other Americans, why should they care about Ukrainians...
The only way this could end diplomatically is if some German politician in charge would get off his knees and tell the US to back off and open up Nord Stream 2.

Carmine has posted those very links before. They've been debunked as trash. Posting them again doesn't suddenly make them true. So, now you're deflecting. Please post numbers from a reputable source. Until you do, I (along with every other intelligent person on the planet) will believe the numbers that are available on wikipedia, which have citations to reputable sources.
Yes, I think satisfactory to Ukraine would be if Russia would withdraw all its troops, restore borders to prior to Russia's invasion in 2014, Russia pays retribution for all the destruction they've caused, and Ukraine joins both NATO and the EU. Do you think Putin will go for it? If not, peace will come when Russia runs out of cannon fodder, or the Russians decide they've had enough of Putin's catastrophic "leadership" and somebody gives him a terminal case of lead poisoning.

What peace settlement terms do you think would be satisfactory to both sides?

Because the Swiss are not interested in peace. They make huge profit from terrorists and criminals.
I will never believe the Swiss care about anything but themselves and money. Swiss don't even care about other Swiss. Why should they care about the rest of the wold...?
This doesn't end diplomatically. It ends when Russia runs out of cannon fodder.
Because a bipartisan coalition of neocons and liberal interventionists successfully instigated a new Cold War by orchestrating a coup in Kiev, criminalized diplomacy with Moscow through the Russiagate hoax, and stoked a proxy war in Ukraine that could turn nuclear. https://t.co/B8p8Y8pQIC

You poor naive chap. Ukraine is done. East and South Ukraine will be either a part of Russia or autonomous. Without those important parts the rest of Ukraine will be a burden to the EU.
And this entire thing will end once EU citizens will start feeling upcoming financial crisis for real. Europeans are soft people and don't like discomfort. Protests will begin, some EU politician in charge will have to tell Biden off and open up Nord Stream 2. Doesn't matter what the US or Selensky want. Europe will eventually decide what's best for Europe.

You're underestimating the stupidity of the European liberal.
These morons would gun their own people down in the streets before they abandon their idiotic green globalist ideologies.

Childish of you, but ok. Switzerland is not participating in such conflicts, since it's requires stability to operate. We also do not rely on the US or EU for protection. Since VIPs from literally every country keep their money in Swiss banks we're pretty much safe and don't care about what any other country thinks.
This ONLY will end diplomatically. NOTHING will bend Russia.

While true, this will only work to a certain extent. Once millions start showing up on the streets, someone will have to do something. A nice cold winter and gas prices of €3 per liter will do the trick. Only a small minority will be willing to stick it to Russians no matter what, the rest is already showing disapproval and it will only get worse.

The 90-second video isn’t tied to any specific threats, a city official said. It’s about raising awareness of something most people haven’t given much thought.
I make plenty of arguments. You’re just not smart enough to understand them. Let me try an argument at your level: Russia kill many innocent people. Russia bad.
