You can guess whether the chicken or the egg came first, but it does not excuse or make palatable civilian casualties.
It's deplorable when Russians inflict that loss, and just as deplorable when Ukraine does.
One of those just killed was a young child. No amount of moralistic sophistry makes that right.
I agree. I just think it’s important to remember that NONE of them would be dead if Russia hadn’t decide to invade in a blatantly imperialistic land grab.
Not pushing the Ukraine is crushing the inept Russian military anymore?

Everybody already knows that Russian army is inept and the only way they are making progress is by bombing the people they claim to be saving from getting bombs.
Now it’s important to remind people of just how many people Russia has killed through their aggression and blatant imperialistic land grab.

I see.
Not only is Russia losing, they are killing too many people.
Since the 19th century, the United States government has participated and interfered, both overtly and covertly, in the replacement of several foreign governments. In the latter half of the 19th century, the U.S. government i...

none of which justifies what Russia is doing:Killing 15,000 citizens, creating 8 million refugees, threatening the world with nuclear destruction, using food and energy as a weapon, etc.
Yes. You've posted all these before - they were all BS then and are still BS now (N.B. linking something twice in one post doesn't make it more true). Just because you found something on the internet doesn't make it true. Hell, there are still morons on the internet that think the MMR vaccine causes autism, that the earth is flat, and that COVID vaccines make people magnetic.
I have family members that were at the Maidan protests. I'm going to take their word over yours everyday of the week and twice on Sunday.

Thats not true. Russia is essentially fighting the US. That is why they are having trouble is because they've had to deal with US weapons. Whats scary is that the Russians seem to be learning from their strategic errors faster than we do. So if this escalated, they would be better prepared. In Afghanistan, the US fought dudes in caves with AK47s. It would be quite nightmarish to go against Russia or China.

1.) Ahhaa, thats exactly my point. Your bogus stats about the breakdown of the 14k people killed was also pulled from something you found on the internet. That doesnt make it true.
2.) You sound like the same person as MoarDeadRuskis. The way you write suggests youre American and you married a Ukrainian girl, which explains a lot about your views. Youre too biased and you cannot be trusted to speak calmly and reasonably on this subject.

Because of NATO weaponry training support since 2014, the Russians have paid a much higher price for their ineptitude than they might have otherwise, but they really are much worse at combined forces warfare and logistics than most anyone expected at the start of this conflict.

Didn't another Russian general get killed this week? Yes, carmine. Many Russia generals have been killed in Ukraine. No, the fact that American generals have not been killed in 40 years does not change that fact.
Russia military doctrine is what it is. Mass artillery fire to destroy everything. Claim victory. Which, when your stated goal is to save the people from being bombed seems a rather hollow victory. When your real goal is a blatant land grab, maybe it's okay.
Now, you're probably right that the Russian military has grown more conservative over the last 5 months as a way to slow their losses, but they're still losing an unsustainable number of armored vehicles. Their KA-52 attack helicopters have basically been grounded. The Russian navy now sits in port full time. They've still shown very little ability coordinate different branches of service or different units to achieve strategic advantage.

What is it, three, maybe four days later and you've not been able to provide any sources that dispute the numbers that were posted? Even Carmine posted things that back up the wikipedia numbers.
The way you write suggests you're a poorly paid Russian troll who was deemed too incompetent to serve as cannon fodder in Ukraine. You're too uneducated and cannot be trusted to speak reasonably on any topic.
p.s. Not that it matters, but I didn't marry a Ukrainian girl. Not that it changes that fact that every dead Russian soldier is one step closer to peace in Ukraine, peace in Europe, and peace on earth.

It's cute how you use "we" when referring to the US.
The Ukrainians only have access to a small fraction of the firepower of the USA and NATO. The poor performance by the Russians shows that they are closer to being a peer with India than the USA wrt military power.
Russia is losing more soldiers per month than the entire US death toll in the 20 year Afghanistan war.
reports coming out from Eastern UKR that suggest RU artillery fire has dramatically reduced the last couple of days. Blowing up ammo dumps might be working already. And I have a near-zero percent confidence that the RU military can make solve this problem.
Good news!
ISW repeatedly states Russian forces are in "operational pause" to regroup and rebuild, with the Ukraine side doing likewise.
