The special military operation is in response to 8 years of western ukraine bombing of the Donbas region - of its own people. The majority of people living in the Donbas opposed the violent coup in 2014 and have been getting bombed by western ukraine ever since. western ukraine has killed 14,000+ people between 2014 and 2021.

For 8 years, Russia has asked politely for western ukraine to stop bombing its own citizens. Russia finally decided it has had enough with evil azov battlions as well as zelensky.

How would you react if you opposed a presidential change of power and in response to your political opposition you get bombed? How are you supposed to handle that situation?

How many of those 14,000 people that were killed were pro-Russian separatists? How many were Ukrainian soldiers killed by Russian-sponsored terrorists? How many were civilians killed by pro-separatist forces? Your number of 14k does not represent what you claimed and lacks any context. Try again.

Just to highlight how absolutely stupid this post is, let's take your claim that "western ukraine has killed 14,000+ people between 2014 and 2021."

According to wikipedia, 14,562 people were killed in fighting in Donbas between 2014 and 2022. This roughly aligns with the number you provided of 14,000+ and the number in the article that you cite later on. However, of those, 4,641 were Ukrainian service members (so, probably not killed by "western ukraine", as you claim). Another 6,517 were Russian-sponsored pro-separatist forces (including 400-500 Russian servicemen). So, the overwhelming majority (76.6%) of the 14,000+ people killed in Donbas were actually fighting in the conflict. There were also 3,404 civilians killed. Certainly some of these were killed by Ukrainian forces and some by pro-Russian separatists. How many fewer people would have been killed if Russia hadn't interfered?

In the 4 months of fighting since Russia launched its invasion of Ukraine, at least 50,000 people have been killed - maybe up to 100,000. So, your contention is that Russia wanted Ukraine to stop bombing its own citizens and is now bombing Ukrainians (killing people at a rate at least 85 times higher than the average of the last 8 years)? I mean, that may be the single dumbest thing I've ever read on the internet. You should seriously seek help.

Well your statement is demonstrably wrong (e.g., the coalition forces fighting to evict Saddam Hussein's forces from Kuwait in 1991 during the First Gulf War were, by every possible metric, a good thing for Kuwait), it's great to hear that you agree that the Russian forces currently fighting in Syria, the Central African Republic, and Ukraine are part of an evil system led by Putin (I guess the Russian soldiers that fought in Georgia, Abkhazia, Transnistria, North Ossetia-Alania, Tajikistan, Azerbaijan, Chechnya, Dagestan, Chechnya (again), Georgia, South Ossetia and Abkhazia (again, again, and again) are also part of an evil system led by Putin).
